Morning folks. Just did our secret santa office drawing. Drew the same exact person as last year. I've had her 3 times now. At least I like her. :)

Made some chocolate and peanut butter pie. I hope it turned out well. The fajitas I made earlier were bad. I promise,I'm a decent cook, I'm just shook.

Is this a church event?

It's a Christian event.
The two-and-a-half day getaway weekend is a time to be together as a couple to invest in and strengthen the foundation of your marriage, no matter how firm or fragile it is. By getting away from the distractions of life, you can fortify your most important relationship and work toward building wonderful memories together, for decades to come.

The Weekend to Remember getaway is not a large counseling session, and you will not be asked to participate in small groups. Rather, you will receive biblically centered, marriage-changing principles with interactive activities that you can take home and apply to your daily lives in order to strengthen your marriage.

During the weekend, through the teaching and couple's projects, you will learn how to:
receive your spouse as a gift
clarify your role as a husband or wife
resolve conflict in the relationship
maintain a vital sexual connection
express forgiveness to one another
increase your commitment, creating an even deeper level of intimacy

Our transparent speakers will show you exactly how to pursue a marriage that really works through stories of their own blunders and breakthroughs. We want you to leave the weekend with encouragement, hope, and practical tools to build and grow your relationship. That's why we call this a Weekend to Remember.

We've gone eight years out of 11, this will be number nine. The truly remarkable thing is, no matter where we are in our marriage (and our family and marriage has changed a lot over 11 years since my youngest son was 10 when we married and hubby's oldest was 21) I hear something that is so phenomenally relevant to where we are. It's a God thing. The speakers are amazing.
