OWS burning crap in Oakland.

I've said that from the beginning. I also warned OWS apologists like LG that OWS was in danger of being defined by it's radical fringes and that is exactly what's happening.

Same thing has happened with the Tea Party. It's always going to happen because the radical fringes are always the loudest.

I'm not a TPer, but I don't recall the TP having splinter groups that rioted and disrupted hardworking people in the name of their movement.

NOI has announced it will join OWS so we can expect
more violence no doubt. Remember Zebra?

of course it is, provoke the police into taking some kind of action, then when an allegedly "peaceful" protester is injured, burn down the damn city.

way to take the high road

btw, we only have this guy's word to go on that he was beaten, arrested, beaten some more and then denied medical treatment for nearly 20 hours.

also, the cops are a reflection of city government, Oakland has been governed by leftists for decades

You're right. Because police officers are not allowed to be recorded, we can only go by word of mouth. Turns out I believe an Army Ranger more than a police department. My comment was sarcasm, btw.

I normally ignore you but this is an underrated picture.

Living in a third world communist country, it is really sad that most Americans lose sense of the bigger picture. Regardless of your problems in America, you still have it better than most other people throughout the world.

The 99% slogan of the OWS protest is very ironic when looked at from a global perspective.

The media apparently reported that Oakland had 7000 protesters rather than actual number closer to 100,000...

still waiting for the Occupy apologists to explain why trespassing on- and destroying private property is justifiable

uh yeah

You can’t take a snapshot of an event like this, because of its time length; you have to think of it as a dynamic. In any population there are births, deaths, in-migration, and out-migration. For the Occupy Oakland General Strike, there were no births, thankfully no deaths, but a lot of in-migration and out-migration.

For that to happen all day long and considering the capacity of the plaza and the crowds outside of it points to 100,000 people. I’ve never seen anything like that in the entire history of this city.

so can we count football attendance at Neyland in a rolling manner like this?

Standard response: Those people don't represent our movement.
