Yeah, I'm not cool with that either. Also, praying for more work or wisdom in your investments seems like playing word games with the big fella. Why beat around the bush? Mo Money!!!

I can understand praying for help/guidance for one's basic needs to be met. Above that, it's greed and selfishness; not very virtuous, IMO. I really don't think it's of much concern to God whether or not one drives a Porche or a Pinto. Just my feelings.

I consider myslef a Christian, but one thing I won't do is push to pray if they don't want to. I think it is our job, as Christians, to pray for those who don't believe. Those kind of things are important in a Christians eyes, not material things. As far as "PUSH" I don't quite understand. I'm not a big fan of religion and how it's splintered into so many different beliefs. I"m a fan of a church that goes off the Bible, and not what religion teaches. I think "pushing" only draws it further away.
Okay...
I will not pressure. Words mean little. The best thing we can do is live a life that makes others take notice and want to emulate. That, to me, is the best witness one can provide.

I started seeing these signs up in church yards and on church signs.

What's your opinion on this? I'm specifically interested in the opinions of the religious folks on here.
I know the basis doesn't really hurt anyone outside of the one doing it, but I think it's a way to shuck personal responsibility. The only time I see it hurt anyone is homeopathy... which is very, very disturbing.
Disclaimer: I haven't heard a sermon about it, so if anyone has could you fill me in on what's usually discussed?
