Can Butch break the Pac 12's streak over the Vols?
The pac 12 has beaten the TN 4 straight gameshmy:
Despite several matchups, TN hasn't won v. a Pac 12 team since the 2006 Cal game:
2007 at Cal L 45-31
2008 at UCLA L 27-24 OT
2009 v. UCLA L 19-15
2010 v. Oregon L 48-13
2013 at Oregon ????????
This streak has follwed TN's fall from grace. Perhaps if we can turn this streak around it will mean the program is also turning a corner. :dance2:
I think a win over Oregon would be a huge win for Butch. Here's calling for the UPSET!
At least you guys will play PAC-12 teams. Unlike the state of Georgia's geographic hemorrhoids. When's the last time the "crocks" played an OOC game against a PAC-8,10,12 team?
Answer: They haven't played a PAC-12 team in an OOC in about 30 years, not since they tied USC 19-19 in 1983. Since that date they are 0-2 in bowl games.
Agree. Those UCLA losses were inexcusable.
If you were Georgia or Florida and were playing one neutral site conference game every year AND a guaranteed BCS out of conference rivalry at the end of the schedule every year . . . you wouldn't mess around with jumping on a plane to go play Stanford either.

I believe Georgia has a home and home with Oregon coming up in a few years. So it doesn't seem to be a problem for them. And yes as long as Florida stays "home" they deserve getting flack for not playing a national OOC schedule.

yeah, let's play the sec schedule, florida state, and another quality ooc opponent just to pacify the fan bases of other schools who play 2 or 3 games a year.
Agreed.
People jump all over Florida for never leaving the state to play OOC, but they play an annual OOC that spent more than a decade finishing in the Top 4. AND they play Miami on occassion. Anyone who jumps on UF about their OOC scheduling is a fool.

The only knock I have on UF's schedule is that 12/12 games per year are in either hot, warm, or mild weather. The Commodores in Nashville in early November is probably the only time they have a chance of playing in a sub-60 temperature. That said, there's no incentive for the Gators to go find a cold game when they have a highly-respected non-conference game already on the slate.
