I do believe he went on to finish ranked and win a bowl game after Dooley won..which looking back on it was a total fluke for Dooley. Not a homerun hire, better than Kiffy and Dooles for sure.

No...dammit. We just went through the same funking thing the last time around. 3yrs of "Give the man a chance." There were much better candidates out there. Why in the hell was Gary Patterson passed over for the 3rd time in a row?!!!

I'd give you a hundred likes if I could op. I'm sure Butch is a fine coach but this 'search' was f-ed from day one and that is all on Hart and Cheek. Chris Peterson is reportedly going to interview for the Wisconsin job yet we settled?!?! Sad day for UT sports.

Butch will be scheduling his former team ferris state for one of our two wins next year.

He is a terrible hire. Better come to PC begging instead of acting like a big shot.

I suggest event management offer additional crowd control for today's PC. Not going to be pretty.

I know one thing. There wasn't even a peep in the media about him being contacted. Much less him publicly stating that he was not interested. He should have been 1b. Cannot argue with his record of winning on a consistent basis, and his players playing above their talent level.

Yet not a single word about us making an attempt.

I am going to make an attempt to post 100% positive stuff and bump all positive storys to help get the redneck stuff to the bottom. I know it will rise again but it makes the fanbase look totally stupid.

I think most reasonable fans are all in too! I totally support Jones and wish him huge success.

The hatred here within is in the process of the coaching search by Hart and Cheek. They handled the situation with such ineptness that it created false expectations of the fan base.

This hire is embarrassing and sets us back another 5 years at least. Is this what they needed the 6m a year for? I mean really? Its just a shame, an aweful disappointing shame....
