Palardy at safety

Palardy may not be the best choice at safety, but he looked very fast running down the kick returners, and did a better job fighting off blockers than our defensive backs did. If he was black, nobody would make fun of the original poster's comments.

Watching the game Saturday then the replay last night that dude is fast! Anyone else notice this? As bad as our defense is we could put him at safety to run everyone down when the get past the line n LB's!

Son he would get trucked! Lets keep him healthy we are going to need alot of FG's the next two games. :hi:

Maybe not so much speed than him taking the right angles to make tackles. Maybe they should let him teach the secondary how take the proper angles.

Put him back there to return kicks and punts. He's gonna emerge as this year's CP in the final two games (The white version of course)

Did you see the PR for a TD? That was no angle! He gave hin a 7 yard head start and caught him!

He is a very good athlete. More importantly, he was fighting to make plays when it looked like most of our team was going through the motions. Sad when your punter is the only one playing with intensity. But great for MP. I will remember him as a player who gave his all for the Vols.

He may be the fastest player on the team... And still lost the foot race to AU's ball boy...
Start giving tryouts to waterboys and ball boys maybe?
Gotta leave it all on the field...

He was also a LB in high school so he knows how to tackle. However, I think he is needed much more doing what he does now. I would hate to lose him to an injury and he has enough to do with punts, extra points, and kickoffs. Keep him and play someone else at safety.

Still laughing. Thank you.

I know the OP is joking, but seriously ... how many times has our punt / kickoff coverage totally collapsed and Palardy was the guy that made the tackle? It's happened in other games besides the Auburn one, as well.

Pretty bad when your kicker is the best coverage guy. He probably wouldn't be that bad at Safety, but we couldn't really risk losing him to injury.

It's amazing how quickly Palardy has turned around. Under Dooley he pretty much stunk, now under Butch Jones he is the team MVP.
