Palardy gets Gator offer

Palardy is all-Vol. See these excerpts from an interview this week:

“Only three out of seventy of my kickoffs didn’t sail out of the end zone,” Palardy said. “That game I had a 30 mile per hour cross wind in my face. I still almost knocked them out. I was disappointed that I didn’t.”

Miami calls me at least once a week telling me just in case I change my mind I will have a place on their team,” Palardy told (another outlet) Tuesday night. “Florida finally came through with an offer. I really didn’t think much about it once it arrived. I had already made my choice and there is no way I'm going to change my mind."
Next year our kicking game will be beyond solid!!!

When Palardy kicked the ball after the Urban comment, he said something along the lines of "Suck it, Urban", right?

Gran and Monte Kiffin were at the school today. Lane is doing an in home with him on Sunday. All is well with him and the Vols. He's ready to get up here

Just saw on Scout where Michael Palardy got an offer from Florida. Could this change things? Thoughts?

No...if anything it's good for us...

With an offer from the Gators Palardy is certain to be bumped to 4 star status on Rivals :)

I'm with springbokvol and vollygirl on this one......Palardy is going to make a bigger difference than people realize. The opposing teams will have to start their drives on the 20 instead of the 40 to 45 yard line after this year.

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., placekicker and Vol commitment Michael Palardy isn't sure where the rumors came from regarding an offer from the Florida Gators, but the nation's second-ranked kicker has not heard from them and is not interested in hearing from them. Palardy's focus is on the Vols and getting to Knoxville.

Our biggest problem this year IMO.

I just saw this thread and this was a misunderstanding on the interviewer's part during an interview with Palardy. I read the piece and called to congratulate Mike and his family, and they informed me that there was no offer, but probably was a misinterpretation of a questions or answer during a recent interview with Mike. On the side, Gran and Kiffin are doing an in house visit with the Palardys on the 6th. VOLS!

Our biggest problem this year IMO.

In 08, Florida had a return for a score and one that gave them a short field for their only other Td. Our defense held them to field goals when they had normal field position. A special teams upgrade is our foremost problem for next year. Thus Palardy is very important to us and we don't need them to have him!

NO! He's wanted to play at UT all along and he hates Florida! If he was going to play anywhere in the state of Florida it would have been at Florida St. and with Bowden out, no way that would happen either.
