Palin has "fire in her belly"

Why does the left fear Sarah Palin? | sarah, palin, left - YumaSun

Author David Mamet in his “The Secret Knowledge”
explains a lot.
----------------

If she is so stupid, how did she become so wildly
successful at everything she does? She worked her
way from town councilman to small-town mayor, to
state oil and gas commissioner to state governor,
to vice presidential candidate in a little over 15 years.

She took on the corrupt good old boys in the
Republican Party.

She sold on eBay the Westwind II jet her predecessor
had purchased against the wishes of the Alaskan
taxpayers, and cut down on the staff in the governor's
mansion, holding meetings in her kitchen Golda Meir-
style, while caring for her family and in her spare time
helping her husband fulfill his fishing contracts.

Yes, Sarah Palin has it all — beauty, brains and brawn,
and it's driving the left wild.

Thank you, David Mamet, for helping me understand
the animus of the left that believes that big government
is the answer to all our problems.

They are threatened by “We the people” and
our desire to manage our own lives, and Sarah Palin
is “We the people.”

She is the embodiment of what it is to be an
American.

The left "fears" Sarah Palin for the exact reason anyone with a brain fears her. She is a ****ing idiot, a hypocrite, etc. etc. etc.

why fear her at all? She has no real power, just a large megaphone. Idiots with megaphones are annoying, but not something to be feared.

Hmmmmm .... Obvious example of a mid-20th century charismatic politician who said all the right things to make his country harken back to the days when they were in charge comes to mind.

I'm with you on that. The "fear" he speaks of is general amusement/pity, and for me, a hatred of stupidity.

Cue gs to make some comment about hating what's in the mirror and a link to something about Kenya.

yeah, I remember how the leftist dolts thought Reagan was an idiot, it's amazing he was able to run intellectual circles around them and take his case directly to the people.

Palin may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but her ability to cause the left such acute heartburn is a lot of fun to watch.

If they don't fear her then why do they attack her so?

Saying Sarah Palin is a ****ing idiot is an indication
of ****ing idiocy, she is no idiot, ESPECIALLY if
compared to the head of the present administration.

So how is she a hypocrite, etc, etc, etc?

Have you read of her accomplishments in the short while
she was governor of Alaska??

She would have accomplished more but had to defend
herself against 23 or more frivilous lawsuits filed by the
corrupt Obama crowd, all of which she won btw.

This nearly bankrupted her family which is far closer
to mainstream America than the Ivy Leaguers we've
been electing ad nauseum.

Cue emain to make yet another fatuous, puerile remark.

Then she quit.

So maybe she is smart compared to Obama. Don't really care personally, because she is still a ****ing idiot.

We should talk about Palin's rejection of the Bridge to Nowhere funds, that should be entertaining.

Then she quit.

Why??

Here are the reasons:

Her own staff, even her lawyer pinpointed the
culprit at Rahm Emanuels door on Larry King
Live a few days after she announce she was
leaving, they know who was behind this -
members of the W.H. and DNC locally and
nationally, and they have the goods on them.

In a nation of laws and not men, a lawsuit can
be a deadly weapon indeed. Any attorney knows
how debilitating a lawsuit can be. When a
governor is being sued to the tune of one new
suit every three weeks, the combination of the
time consumed by discovery and the costs of
litigation generally can rack up faster than
interest on a mob loan. If one is caught in the
grip of a severe legal disadvantage against a
determined foe, there is very little that
“creativity” can really do for you.

It is so basic. You can choose between a fight
you will lose as certainly as you will grow old
and die, or you can seek a strategic escape,
but you will pay a price there too.

She had to choose between the absolute
destruction of her family and her ability to
govern versus the transitory embarrassment
of having people like you blame her for getting
professionally kneecapped by her enemies.

To fault her for making the only reasonable choice
a good leader could make under the circumstances,
well, it would be like blaming Reagan for getting
in the way of that bullet that nearly killed him.

It really is utter nonsense, once you
understand the facts.

(not something of which I would ever accuse you.)

Sarah Palin's attorney fees were in excess of
$500,000 that had to be paid from her own pocket.

She is from working class, not from the silver spoon
fed elites who were attacking her with frivilous lawsuits,
all of which she was eventually exonerated of any
wrongdoing.

The reason for the suits was to bankrupt her family but
she eventually won out, even though one defense fund
to which she raised $390,000 had to all be returned
because a bunch of crupt ****ing democrats ruled it
wasn't legal. She had the fund vetted before she even
started it and everything was said to be legal.

Like Jack Dempsey once said, champions get up when
they can’t. Where do you suppose he learned that?

Pure fatuity! :clapping:

"A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves."
Edward R. Murrow

Palin opposed the bridge to nowhere, I do find it
entertaining when any public official rejects the blatent
and rampant governmental waset that is going on
nowadays.

For instance, obama's council of economic advisors,
chaired by economists hand picked by obama, has
just released a report that pretty well characterized
his stimulus program as a huge boondoggle and a
complete failure.

I said when Obama was elected; "everyone hold your
hands in the air, you are about to be robbed."

And that is what has happened and is continuing to
happen.

She opposed it when it became politically advantageous for her to do so. That's a fact

Basic, indeed. Ironically, Obama has won just as many, if not more, lawsuits than Palin faced.

The difference is that so far he has had those suits
dismissed on technicalities.

Jake Tapper Concedes Media's Bias on Obama Medal of Honor Gaffe, Double Standard on Bachmann | NewsBusters.org

ABC White House correspondent Jake Tapper appeared
on the June 27 edition of Dennis Miller's radio show and
conceded to a media blackout of Barack Obama's Medal
of Honor gaffe. (The President confused a living
recipient with the deceased Jared Monti who died in
combat.)

Tapper admitted that the President made "a big uncomfortable mistake." He added, "And I don't
think that that got the same kind of coverage as, you
know, when Sarah Palin got Paul Revere's ride-"

Tapper's right. His own network, ABC, as well as CBS
and NBC have skipped the Monti story.

Tapper was away when the Medal of Honor story initially
broke, but he, thus far, has since ignored it, although
he did cover it online (while still on vacation).

Never mind that Palin was right about Paul Revere, for
which any media is yet to apologize, let that enter into
more Orwelian urban myth that so many people believe.

GS - we've been through this. She wasn't right. Stop citing it as if she were. The experts only agreed that he warned the British after his detainment, not during his ride. Palin stated clearly on Sunday morning news that a part of his ride was warning the British...it wasn't. It was a part of him trying to "get out of jail" after his ride, so to speak. It was not part of the plan, or part of the strategy. The only strategy it fits is the strategy of Palin re-writing history into special pieces for her Cheerleaders for America organization.

The Justice System has rules for good reason. The fact that persons like you cannot seem to stick a suit to Obama that does not get dismissed only shows a supreme lack of competence on your part.

Thank you. I thought I was losing my mind when everyone said he warned the British during his ride.

Yes we have been through this before.

You didn't quetion her veracity, you questioned her
motives.

Palin didn't rewrite history, she dipicted it accurately
as it happened.

Your ostensibly sophisticated approach to the issue
ends up to be pure sophristry on your part as it is
on several other topics.

Perhaps the competency will pay off in the end.

If you want to talk of supreme incompetence, then
consider that all of the Obama generated suits against
Palin FAILED!!!!

The suits against Obama continue and in reality he
should eventually be conviced of high crimes and
treaston!!

Not to worry, you lost your mind a long time ago.

The lies that are spun to protect Palin's lack of intelligence...

Evidence of your fatuity grows daily.

The funny thing is someone with your level of intelligence
should cite Palin's lack of intelligence. :eek:lol:

GS - I did question her motives. However, I also completely refused to accept the veracity of her statement. My thought is that it wasn't necessarily a gaffe or blunder, but that doesn't make her right. Her statement was incorrect. I will concede that if I am correct about her motives, then she was not stupidly or ignorantly incorrect, just incorrect and I disagree with her approach. Standing by it without clarification shows her inability to see the gray or accept nuance, which I find to be a bit ridiculous.
