That may not be the worst miss ever, but the worst I can think of. Do we have any kickers on the horizon, they have to be better than this.

We all knew we had no kicking game and very little punting after last year ended. Some things are out of the control of a coach, but not dealing with this with recruiting is unforgivable. I am beating a dead, dead horse sorry.

bulluck will be back next yeaR he was suppossed to be the ? this year but broke leg i just dontt see how palady could shank a field goal 5 yards from the pillon as long as he makes extra points ill be ok but to the "top ated kicker" comming out of Hs would think we would have more FGS from longer than 39 BUT THE FAKE FG WAS PURFECT!@!

Just pick anyone off the streets and make em kick..I could kick better than that !! What is up with TN and kickers..I though Daniel Lincoln was the worst I saw but Palardy takes it to a whole new level. Is this karma of having amazing kickers in Colqiutts for years and its our turn to have ****tiest kickers ??

Dear Palardy,
I am sure you are trying your best but please make this your last year. It is time to give it up. You can't take the pressure in the college game. If you want to help then give us your scholarship back. I wish you much success in your future endeavours.

I was watching Palardy in warm ups and every kick he hit from 40+ was a low snap hook just like the missed FG. I don't think we've ever had a kicker that hit the ball so inconsistently.

You do know that he did go out and get a kicker and the guy broke his leg in fall camp, right?? He has what was the best kicker in the country out hs and he had to go out and waste a scholly on another guy. People just think he can just go out and get whomever he wants with no limits. Smh

I had to rewind and watch his FG attempt at least 4 times. I laughed harder each time I watched it.

Regarding kickoffs. I wish UT would find someone on campus that can kick it out of the endzone every time. I don't care if the ball gets 10 feet off the ground as long as it goes through the endzone.

He has the same problem Wilhoit had early in his career.. He is kicking off of his natural ability and feeling, and he doesn't really seem to have it down to a science. Consistency comes, not just from practice, but from knowing exactly what you are doing and why the ball reacts the way it does. If you watch videos of Wilhoits tutorials he admits that he never really knew what he was doing until he left UT.

Position coaches help with this, but of course it is just the kicking game so we don't need coaches for that, right? It is much easier to catch, or throw a ball than it is to kick.. However, a kicker is "awful" when he gets 1 opportunity to prove himself and takes a bad hit. Watch soccer and you will see the best players in the world do not ALWAYS take a good hit. I will apologize for the long post, but ignorance toward the one part of the game your average fan knows nothing about is annoying. Also, I am not excusing Palardy or saying he is better than you are letting on.. I am just simply stating that it is miles harder to kick a 43 yard field goal than any of you are allowing.

That miss was so bad that me and my buddies actually laughed when he kicked it. It was about one whole section too far right.

I had to work yesterday so i didn't see the kick, i had a heck of a thing going for a while everytime they sent Palardy on the field i'd bet one of the guys i usually watch the game with 5 bucks that he misses it. I was ahead when they quit letting him attempt field goals some time ago. Hll he even misses pat's often! It's sad. But some of his shanks are just down right hilarious! It's gotta be embarrassing for the ole boy. LOL!

Our kicking game is pathetic. We were spoiled with Colquitt's , Jeff Hall, even David Leaverton. No emphasis on the kicking game has lost Dooley several games. He wins the Music City Bowl vs. UNC 2 years ago if we don't miss an extra point. Bottom line, just more proof that Dooley is over his head.

I thought Lincoln was bad, I'd kill to have him back at this point

"Press the kicking game,"

In this day and age of potent offenses sometimes we forget how critical the kicking game is to this sport.
If we had Jeff Hall there is no overtime.

Palardy is one of the bigger bust we have had in a while.
What ever happened to Darr? Punting is just as critical as place kicking.

Jonathan King of Farragut is rated the #1 kicker/punter combo in the country by Ray Guy. Every Friday night, he puts on a show drilling high, booming punts. He warms up for the second half by kicking 60-yard field goals. (Granted, it's off a tee, but he makes about half of them.) A few weeks ago, I watched a couple of Georgia scouts drool over him during warm-ups.

Look for him to go to Alabama or South Carolina. The kid wants to be a Vol, but has essentially been told by the Tennessee staff that they've wasted too many scholarships on kickers already.

Oh yeah, he can kick it in the end zone every time from the 35. From the 40 where they kick off from in high school, he occasionally puts the ball through the uprights.

If "every kick he hit from 40+ was a low snap hook just like the missed FG," it seems to me like he hits the ball very consistently, not inconsistently.

I'm not going to get on Palardy too much. He was one of the Top 5 kickers in the country when we signed him but seems like everyone and everything else in the program has failed to meet his potential.
