Parcells quit

Heard a commentator on ESPN Radio today suggest that it was incredibly selfish of Parcells to announce this the Monday after the Championship games and steal the spotlight. I hadn't thought about it but it does seem like something that could have waited 24 hours.

What says VolNation?
eh......

Eh, it's not like he waited til the day of the Super Bowl. That'll probably be when Jerry holds the press conference to name the new coach, though.

Good news, owh. Saw on the scroll on the NFL Network earlier in the day the Titans aren't giving Dallas permission to contact Fisher about their vacancy. :eek:k:

...and just to confirm, found this on the Titans website.

"We haven't been contacted by Dallas," chief executive officer Steve Underwood said in a statement Tuesday. "In the event that we were, there are no circumstances that we would grant permission to the Cowboys to speak with Coach Fisher.

I would have liked it if he could have gone earlier with a few more prospects out there... But with the hell that JJ has put him through, I have no problem with him leaving late.

As far as getting a new coach goes, there are a few smart moves still left on the table, but nobody knows which way JJ will go anymore. He's turned my team into a damned publicity stunt.
