Pardon the Interruption

Basically, if Georgia beats us, we need Bama to beat them in the SECCG to get in. I think if that happens, Ohio State, Bama, us, and TCU gets in.
Don't think so... that's precisely what we DON'T want to happen, IMO. In your scenario I think Georgia gets in ahead of us because of the head-to-head victory.

If Georgia beats us, we need them to also beat Bama - giving Bama a 2nd loss.

Probably decides who is playing in the CFP.

It's honestly more important for UGA. We could lose and still have an outside shot at making the playoffs because we have will have faced 6-7 ranked opponents (at least the time we played them) by that time. If UGA loses, their schedule is isn't strong enough to get a playoff spot, imo.
This is the one time our stinky schedule helps us 😂

3 sec teams will not happen
I really don’t get why people keep bringing this up as a possibility. There’s pretty much a 0% chance of 3 teams from any one conference getting in. All other conference champs would have to have 2 losses while Bama, UGA and UT all had 1 loss or less.

Actually that guarantees we won’t get in. If we lose to UGA then we need UGA to beat Bama. If Bama beats UGA and only has 1 loss then Bama is in. If a second spot opens up for a SEC team it would probably go to UGA who beat us in your scenario.

I'd me more tempted to say that if we lose a close one to Georgia, then Georgia beats Bama in the SEC title game, then we make the playoffs. Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee and....Oregon? TCU? Clemson? Tennessee vs Ohio State 1st round. I say Tennessee wins that and we play Georgia again for the Natty.

What about this scenario? We beat UGA. We meet Bama in the SEC championship game. Bama wins the SECCG. So us, UGA and Bama have 1 loss. Bama goes in as SEC Champ, we go in as 1 loss, and own the tiebreaker head to head with UGA. We might meet Bama in the playoffs, what would have been the odds at the beginning of the year off POSSIBLY playing Bama 3 times?

In the event of a Bama SEC champ and 12-1 UGA/TENN, bot teams are in. Because UGA / Tenn would be 12-0 #1 team going into final week. A close loss as #1 team would not drop them out of top 4. I refuse to believe a 12-1 UGA or Tenn SEC runner up would be kept from playoff with only loss coming as #1 team to likely #3 Bama.

Wrong. If we lose to UGA, we need them to finish 13-0 to have any shot. That means they give second loss to West champ and that we would be only remaining 1 loss SEC team

That’s correct

If UT loses a close one, they probably drop to 4 and Clemson moves up to 3. Besides the TN and Georgia matchup, this is a big week for college fb. Notre Dame could upset Clemson at home and while that game is being played, LSU could beat Bama.

If we lose to Georgia, Michigan would be #4 ahead of us

Not true. If we lose Saturday uga would have to beat bama for us to get in. No way we would get in over bama of Georgia in your scenario.

Pressure on UGA imo. We’ve already exceeded expectations

Plus, we could lose, but win out afterwards and finish 11-1. UGA could win out and beat Bama in ATL, and the 2 teams most likely to make playoff from SEC are UT and UGA along with OSU/Mich winner and Clemson

We're in a good spot. But if we beat UGA, we'd have to beat Bama twice. If we lose, there's possibility of meeting UGA in the playoffs. I don't think Clemson has a good resume. Michigan doesn't either. It could be OSU, and three SEC teams in the four.
I seriously doubt three will make it. If TCU finishes undefeated they will take one position.

If I am a fan of a school that has numerous top 5 recruiting classes and lost to school whose football program nearly imploded 2 years ago. I would want that coach fired.

ALL THE PRESSURE IS ON GEORGIA!

Naw. Bama dropped a good bit after we beat them by 3. I would expect UGA to drop out of top 5 if we beat them by one possession. I would expect us to stay in top 5 if we lose by one possession.
There were more undefeated teams left at the time Bama fell. Honestly we're 1 wild weekend away from 3 SEC teams getting in. I heard the CFP committee guy say they didn't look at conferences. They were big on who you beat. If Clemson and TCU lose, OSU /Michigan winner might be the only none SEC school in the playoffs.

People losing their minds over 3 teams in the playoffs. I don’t think a 1 loss PAC 12 and Big 12 team gets in. So if TCU loses, it’s essentially 6 teams for 4 spots with Tenn, UGA, and Bama being 3 of the 6.

Loser of OSU and Michigan will be eliminated.

Clemson will win out. I fully expect the SEC to have two teams in. It’s just a matter of which scenario happens:

13-0 UGA/Tenn and 11-1 UGA/Tenn

OR

12-1 Bama/Ole Miss and 12-1 UGA/Tenn

Clemson has a QB crisis right now and u know the old saying. If you got 2 QB's u ain't got 1. That's a problem no matter how talented the rest of your team is. I don't think Clemson is going undefeated. In fact I think it's more likely that TCU does.
