Pardons?

I say this because I think it would be absolutely hilarious and Trump is obviously petty enough to do it: Trump should pardon Joe Biden.

He should grant Joe a blanket pardon on everything having to do with his son's foreign dealings. We all know that nothing will come of them anyway, so there's no risk involved. He should hold a presser, announce the pardon and explain "I know what it was like to have the specter of investigations hanging over my administration. I know how the impeachment process hamstrung my ability to govern. And I experienced all of that despite being completely innocent. I cannot imagine what it would be like for Joe to deal with that when he's so clearly guilty."
Freaking awesome

Just before Trump leaves office, whenever that will be, should identify himself as a woman for one day. That will a epic meltdown by the left.

What are the % of people that turned down a Presidential pardon???
I don't know, but you basically admit guilt when you accept one...so I could see some turn it down, but I doubt that happens publicly. Obviously the posthumous pardons are not accepted, due to the pardoned being dead and all.

What? Most folks have already been found guilty of their crimes, or pled guilty..

Trump has only pardoned a few dozen people. He needs to really up his game to be #1. I'd suggest pardoning on federal prisoners and releasing them back into the cities from whence they came.

I was listening to a radio show yesterday and they were saying Trump may not be able to pardon himself, based on recent language from s.ct. so, the plan would be for Trump to resign at 10 am on inauguration day and then Pence pardon him.

Thing is, it could get Pence indicted because it's illegal to give a pardon for anything of value.

PardonPalooza

I've been thinking about this, knowing that it's coming. Just a wild guess, but I'm thinking Trump will pardon several hundred, throwing in a roughly equal number of randos, in an attempt to distract from those whose azzes are being covered.

Anyway, get your picks in.

Here's my top 10:

Donald J Trump
Ivanka Trump
Donald Trump Jr
Eric Trump
Michael Flynn
Steve Bannon
Rudy
Mike Pompeo
Steve Mnuchin
Louis Dejoy

2hrs of presidency (if that long) is of value.

If anything Biden should follow example and pardon Trump. Nixon got caught and was pardoned, all in an effort to keep the country together. Since that is what Biden is preaching he should put it into practice.

It's the same strategy as what bamawriter was proposing for Trump to do. If trump takes it he is admitting guilt.

I have been thinking that he (Biden) might do that. But of course it only affects federal crimes. As I said earlier, part of me really wants to see him get what he so richly deserves, which is to be prosecuted for what looks like a long trail of financial impropriety, including fraud and tax evasion. But at the same time it would serve as a rallying crime for the deep state conspiracy loons and I hate that.

As with anything if you play it right you can sell it. Biden pardons Trump from federal crimes. When trump gets hammered in *insert state here* Biden can shrug his shoulders and say he did what he could, states' rights.
