Parking on game day for a newbie

If you are willing to wait and get to campus about 9:15, I highly recommend parking by the coliseum in the garage there ($10 total), then taking the shuttle over to campus ($10 per rider round trip). It is easy and requires minimal walking. Shuttles begin leaving the parking garages three hours before kickoff every week. So, for noon kickoff, they will begin leaving at 9 AM.

THIS. With a 5 and 70 year old, use the shuttle if you can and try to minimize the walking.

Yes- and that's what I've more or less done both games this season. It's not a bad walk, just a bit long.

Thanks. I parked at State Street for the Bama game, and walked up and down the hills of Cumberland, and back. Your route sounds much more civilized than that for a 70 year old like me!! Appreciate the advice. I saw the new walkover but figured it was just a campus thing. Didn't connect the dots till you suggested it.
