So you don't think it's good for new recruits to see former players that made it to the NFL on there visits to K-town. And I believe input from Johnny and Phil is a good thing.

Not saying that all. Just acting like CBJ "finally" did it like other coaches didn't is the issue.

Kiffin, and Dooley brought in former players and got coaches input to.

People just ride the Dooley "not letting players around" deal cause they can't understand the reason he did what he did. The situation he walked into was a hot mess after kif left. Dooley had 10 days before nsd, so it's not unreasonable to institute a policy where they need to come by and say they r there. Yes it's great for players to see former ones but there is a need for order don't u think??

Say what you want but Butch is consumed with bringing this program back to elite status. Will it happen? I don't know. I do know we had a top 5 recruiting class and well on the way toward another. I like what we got and think that the future is bright Orange.

I understand you Oskie but firmly believe that CBJ is putting a different spin on things. CDD handled the press his way, and CBJ is handling them in a brilliant way. No more red dogs, no more cactus watering - just straight up football. CBJ isn't a lawyer, thank mother nature!

I agree with KK. Just wish people could separate the differences. At the end of the day I have a feeling that having the lawyer son of a former SEC HC probably helped UT out more at that time more than most could ever imagine.

He definitely said things that went over the majority of the fans heads. But CBJ has some "orange dog" type deals too. They were loved when Dooley tried them, and CBJs are currently. Other than that stupid "red-team" deal, ripping of Hoke and UM, that needs to go the way of the orange dog that's for sure. Ha!

The reason we lost at Vandy is because the players basically gave up in the last 2 minutes and let Vandy run the friggen field. Perhaps the players were just tired of being whupped on (3 losses in a row to tough teams) but thats not how you become champions

The players did not give up. That is absurd. The effort was there, but the execution wasn't. There is a difference.
