My take is that the game will be won by UT on the defensive end. UT can win even if the game speeds up, so long as Memphis is working for every basket. UT will get enough free throws to stay in the game so long as they limit transition and put back points for Memphis. Points in the paint will be crucial; the team with more will be the team that gets the W.

And you're confusing sore loser with pointing out facts that you are having a hard time coming to grips with. You came on here last night acting like Pastner threw some masterful zone at UT that completely shut them down in the 1st half. Ask any poster on here if what Memphis did was anything special that any other team hasn't done all year. UT has had trouble scoring all year especially in the 1st half. You came in here acting like Pastner invented some new type of magical zone that had UT confused. LOL. Watch the games.

Dude let it go. UT was exposed as a slow team with average guard play. A team not very athletic. McCrae & Richardson made a valiant second half effort, but it was obvious Memphis had the superior team. Playing them next year might be worst for the Vols, have you seen the recruiting class the Tigers have coming in? Let's say it's far better than UT's.CCM has to recruit better if he is going to compete with the likes of Memphis.

Why don't you list the teams that haven't played a zone against UT. It would be a shorter list. You still acting like Pastner threw out some type of defense that no one has ever seen is comical though. Yes, give Pastner the coach of the year award already!

I watched it in person. Don't complain about us shooting, when we were draining mostly open shots and scoring on runouts.

For every contested 3 Geron Johnson made, McRae made 2, so don't cry about luck.

For those of you at home last night, Damon Stoudamire was the coach. He took control of huddles during time outs. He was coaching the bench. Players on the court during dead balls were looking to him for instructions. Pastner's job was to just move around and hold up sheets of paper occasionally.

I look for Damon to get a much better job real soon. Pastner will be a career assistant after this gig.

That game last night is why I love basketball. Memphis St. didn't play a very good game (outside of Jackson, kid is awesome) and still won. They took a ton of horrible shots, but they kept going in. That final three, right in McRae's face, was a horrible decision, terrible choice, but it went in. That's basketball. That's why I love it!

UT fired him for NCAA violations and outright lying to the NCAA...he's not coming back...ever.

i'm still looking forward to games with Harvard and @Xavier out of conference...

and @Southern Miss, @UTEP, Tulane, UCF in conference. (based on RPI)

then we can get out of CUSA...at least for 2013 we will get...Louisville, Cincy, UConn, Temple, Georgetown, Nova, Marquette, etc in conference.
