Pat Forde Called Out

A-Z sports had an excellent article on a Pat Forde article. Thought that some of you would enjoy.
He’s an absolute dufuss.
We tell kids to compete till the last whistle regardless of the score. Then some moron wants to complain when the coach does what he tells his kids to.
My only complaint is when the kids came back out for one play they should have thrown it deep.

Yes that was absolutely a rediculous take by Pat. And I don't blame Thomas for decking Mertz. It almost looked like he was looking to run the ball. If you don't want your qb to get hit just take a freaking knee.

Pat Forde goes more and more off his rocker as the years go by. Completely irrelevant…and rightly so.

Pat Forde, Joel Klatt - behold the growing pack of dumbass wolves circling Knoxville. They smell blood in the water. You can bet they won't be the only ones.

Rememeber, when Tennessee turns the corner, and these morons start handing out the praise like they never dumped on the Vols - keep the receipts, and never forget all these idiots want is for you to click. Don't give them an inch; they certainly will never give Tennessee one.

I thought the timeout call was kind of stupid given the circumstances. I get playing to the last whistle but there is a point and time when you accept the loss and we were at that point IMO.

That being said, Forde is a grade A drama queen looking for clicks from UT fans like myself. His take on the situation was ridiculously overstated. Read this and don't give the douchebag another click.

Heupel’s display of petulance set the stage for what happened next: Gators quarterback Graham Mertz went back to take a knee, stalling for a few seconds to run more clock; when he did kneel down, ending the play, Tennessee lineman Omari Thomas decked him with a late hit and was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. That instigated a near brawl, with a Gator and a Vol squaring off like they were in the Octagon. It could have gotten much worse.

I don’t get into the “ESPN hates TN” nonsense but Pat Forde trolls TN fans and the goober portion of the online fans fall for it every single time. He knows he will get attention. Stop feeding him clicks.

... as pointless as it may have been, it is not illegal to call a timeout at any stage of the game, if you have one. That by itself should not be enough to start a fight. The play had already been very chippy, with both sides equally responsible for it. Forde likes to take shots at Tennessee. This was a stretch, even for him.

you guys know that this guy publishes these "takes" because he knows he is going to get clicks and headlines, right? He feeds off the reaction among TN fans. ignore them and they will go away.

I think you are right but I also think he has a real, genuine dislike for Tennesse fans and guys like Fulmer. Being proven wrong about Cuonzo and fans working him over for it really affected him. When you read his tweets and stuff you can pick up a deep sense of spite/venom from him towards UT/UTfans. I never got that from Herbie and other guys than UT fans despise. I think Forde actually really does hate ut, and I'm not fond of him either, so it works.

To his credit Pat Forde never starts heaping praise. He waits in silence in the shadows praying for something bad to happen to us so he can say we deserve it for not wanting Schiano. Still waiting on those "bills coming due" lol
