He also said the war on drugs has failed which I agree with too.

Although I agree with it, I wouldn't be surprised if he would somehow make money off it. The guy is one crooked bastard and is not really a man of God.

Weed should be legal. When Red has a flare up She has to go on pain pills. She is at risk for addiction and has to ween herself back off. Because of her job she can't risk weed but I'm willing to bet it would be better for her than those darn pills.
God made weed. Pills have to be manufactured. Most Christians are on the wrong side of this issue.

The idea that a plant and the consumption of that plant is illegal is just plain retarded.

True but what if said plant made you hallucinate so you drive your car off a cliff or into a crowd of people. Obviously a very hypothetical situation but it could happen. There are health risks associated with the consumption of illegal substances plant and manufactured alike. BTW I'm all for legalizing weed.

The risk of ingesting said plant, then.

My grandmother slipped into a diabetic coma and drove her car into a busy intersection. She lived another 4 years after that, but she was never the same again with all the injuries and stuff. There are health risks associated with the consumption of legal substances plant and manufactured alike.

I'm not against the legalization of maryjane, but that argument is kind of silly. Peyote is a plant that shouldn't be legal for consumption, and I'm sure there are quite a few others. Just because it is natural doesn't mean that it's ok.

Acuallly, it does. As long as you aren't driving a car and/or harming another person then the consumtion of any natural product should never be outlawed or criminalized.

But where do you draw the line? Who knows if that person wants to go somewhere? What's to stop them from getting in their car and driving? People are harmed all the time by other people that had no intention to harm anyone. There's a whole slew of issues that go along with legalizing weed that people don't even comprehend. Once again, I'm pro legalization, but there still has to be some laws regulating its use and availability - similar to alcohol. And last time I checked, people still drink and drive on a regular basis. You could make the argument that homemade alcohol is a "natural" product.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be legal. Peyote is in a whole different category than weed though. Apples to oranges.

I agree, and it should be held to the same laws as alcohol as to driving and being in public.

Draw what line? If you are under the influence of alcohol or perscription medication and you choose to drive you are breaking the law. What would be the difference with regards to weed?

Alcohol causes more harm to people that use it and victims of drunk driving than marijuana and peyote combined.

Also, you could make the argument alcohol is a natural product. And you would be wrong. It is manufactured. Be it an individual making moonshine, a micro brewery, or Anheuser-Busch.

Whats to stop a person who pops a couple of prescribes lortabs from getting behind the wheel......we should make prescribed lortab illegal. Seriously, with this way of thinking, how could you even start to think that beer should be legal?

And trust me, when I get high, the last thing in the world I want to do is to get off the coach and go somewhere. Much different from when I have been slamming shots all night and want to go out.
