I am by no means trying to call myself a source, or that I know the recruits, but I do know a lot of folks in the south. Especially Virginia, Georgia, and Florida. I also have some friends in Mississippi and they know some people who know some people. Words could have got mixed somewhere but word is Patterson is thinking less of people in Alabama after words were exchanged, don't know what was said or what it was about, but it seems like he would like to play against Alabama instead of for Alabama, but doesn't want to make that an excuse to tell the Bama coaches. It's not worth much but it was interesting to hear

My God...if you can get pressure on JP-Wilson he isn't worth a darn...7 sacks by Utah...I guess that line really isn't anything without Smith.

and they lost Johnson early, so 2 of the best o linemen in the nation were lost by the 2ndQ

Oh well. Get out of here Bama. That's what happens. Bama's season had been nothing short of the Miracle on Ice up until the SECCG. Glad they're starting the new year off with a loss.

a bit off topic for my first post, but I'm not sure Smith would've helped... I think Switzer said it best. "Bama wants to play in the National Championship... Utah wants to play in the Sugar bowl.."

Bama got worked....

I'm saying that I could care less what happens to Alabama(who got hurt or what big break) I'm glad they lost. Also I played against JPW in high school he sucked then. The only reason they won that game was because of a kid named Chad Jackson who went to Florida as a 5 star and his team had 2 penalties compared to our 22.

I have do disagree. Andre Smith sets the tone on that line. With Smith Bama would have run the ball all night.

FWIW, Bama fans are not blaming this loss on Smith's absence. Smith doesn't play defense.

Bama was beaten soundly.

I hated to see Bama lose. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Tennessee man to the core, but the SEC is next. If the Vols can't do it then hopefully someone else in the SEC will. And as much as I hate to say it, I'll pull for Florida over Okie.
