Patterson comparison

I'm glad I've gotten to watch CP play every game last year. I have no doubt that he will be a player to remember. He's not just a return specialist. He is truly a once in a lifetime kinda player. This video doesn't do CP justice.

Have no idea why they attempted to compare him to Donald Driver. That was pretty ignorant. DD is far less talented, but a hard worker that gave it all he had to achieve. CP is a rare talent that also works hard, but has the ability to break a game open on natural ability alone in a variety of ways. Whatever.

Bugs Bunny or Elmer Fudd? I'm thinking Fudd.

He's alot like a huge randal Cobb. I only like the Harvin comparison for skillset cause his attitude and demeanor is waaaay better. He's just a freak, guys his size aren't supposed to be able to do what he does. Hope he somehow goes to my bengals opposite of green for the best wr tandem in football.

Yeah cause height in a receiver doesn't matter. Wes welker compares to Jerry rice with that logic
:loco:

Stats.. plus jerry rice did it in an era of the running back and the qbs running for their live rather than the pompous pampered qbs of todays time. When I mentioned height golden tate has a disadvantaged but he can still leap make plays hence why he won the Biletnikoff Award but lets face it Patterson has what 6'2 with the shiftlessness of the 5'10 Tate and as far as welker goes he is an excellent route runner he runs into to spaces which is all that you want from a receiver but at best he is gonna break one tackle per reception average these other 3 guys are YAC guys and thats contact not catch for those who have forgotten...:peace2:

Best college player ever that only played one year of D1 ball imo. Sucks not having him at least three but we were the program that had him for that one. He's magic with the ball in his hands and a lot of us on here started every preseason... "are we gonna see a punt/KO return for a TD this year?" And CP did both. Good luck in the NFL!!

Agree and if he goes to the Bengals, the Ravens and Steelers will shat themselves!

Actually not a bad comparison. Now that I think about it, haven't seen anyone juke n jive like he does since Barry Sanders. Got that Andre Johnson size and he's faster than Johnson. Special, special player!

Actually Johnson has gone sub-10.3 in the 100m and sub-6.7 in the 60m so Johnson is actually faster. OTOH Patterson is a good deal more elusive in the open field and is still very, very fleet. As a matter of actually playing the game of football I'd take the latter.

As good as the guys you mention were/are. The ultimate juke and jive artist was Gale Sayers. And he did it no matter what the field conditions were. There's an outside chance we may have a Sayeresque player in either Young or Howard now that they will be in an offense that's best suited to their skills.

I was referring to 40 times but Pattersons time in the 100 meters wasn't to shabby either. I think we can agree that both are just downright fast!

as a standout for Hutchinson Community College’s football and track and field teams, Patterson accounted for more than 1,300 yards of total offense and 24 scores on the gridiron, while posting a mark of 10.33 seconds in the 100-meter dash on the track
