I'm hearing Paul Harris is quitting the team and going back home to be with his sick mother in Maryland.

You cannot be the bearer of such bad news without bringing some sources to verify what you're saying.

If this is the case you can't be mad at the kid very tough decision. Hopefully for Paul he can maybe play ball again at a school closer to his home or can at least get back in school so he can receive a college education. Wish him the best and prayers for his mother.

If this is true, I wish him nothing but the best. Sometimes life throws us situations that we have to make tough choices. I hope he doesn't lose sight of his dreams.

I haven't heard anything about this, but Jalen Hurd did tweet that he will wear #1 next year. That was Paul's number this year.

I was wondering this too, but this would seem to make since if true. Tough for Paul, best of luck to him.

If its true, shame to lose a 3-4* who had promise for next year - but family comes first. If so, I wish him well. Hope he stays though.

I don't know the situation, if that is right go home for your mother.
I was looking forward to see the progress he's made.
As Fade Route said family beats football every time.
Bless you and your family.

Tough situation. Hopefully a kid with that kind of talent will get a hardship transfer close to home and continue to go to school.

That's what I was thinking....Hate to see a kid lose his education and have a seriously ill parent, I hate it for him.

I'm hoping butch releases him to a school close to home without restrictions. Seems like it would be the right thing to do.

Hoped to see him breakout for us this next season, but his decision is perfectly understandable and I have no problems with it. Best wishes to Paul and his family.

I don't have a print source to quote, but I expect that it will be out shortly if it isn't already.

Sad if this is true...however, how to we keep having the luck with players who's parents are deathly ill. Arnett went back to Mich St. for the same reason I believe. Wasn't Bourque the same way?

These Kids are so young to have to deal with these sort of things. Very sad. Prayers go out to Paul and the Harris family
