My client wanted to use his credit card to accrue points. I gave him my wife's PayPal info. Amount was almost $2k.

A month later, and PayPal hasn't put the money in our bank account. Wife has called 4 times. She was told our bank wouldn't accept the money, it would be deposited in a few days, even told twice they would send us a physical check in the mail. Also, her recent purchases through PayPal have been deducted from amount they owe us and not pulled off her debit card.

We checked around online and this seems to be SOP for PayPal.

I hate PayPal and have refused to sell on eBay because of it. Try Square. It's what I use for my business and it's incredible.

Ive never had an issue, and I use it quite frequently.

It's weird. She never had a problem before. Those were small transactions. It shouldn't make a difference...to be fair, it may be coincidental

I tried using paypal for my business, huge mistake. Always had problems withdrawing money and they set a limit in what I could withdrawal from my paypal account. Huge crock, have nothing good to say about them.

I use quickbooks. They have the card reader and all that jazz. Accepting credit cards has it's negatives

Literally no negatives with Square. I had the quickbooks thing first and hated it. Square is incredible and I suggest every small business owner give it a chance. There's also a little program they do called Square Capital. I've done it 5 or 6 times now and it's wonderful. You might want to look into that 👌

The saga continues. On her last call with PayPal, my wife spoke to a supervisor who was very apologetic and understanding. She offered to have a conference call with herself, our bank and my wife to resolve this issue. My wife agreed. Supervisor promised she would call between 3 and 4. She even verified the time zone difference. She never called. Wife called supervisor's direct line / extension. no one answered, no voicemail available. Frustrating.

It's ok from the consumer end or for small one time transactions. Absolutely ridiculous if you try moving a substantial about of money through them.

I take payments fhrough PayPal several times a month. Transferring 100s of dollars to my bank account at a time. It generally takes about 2 days. Never had a problem doing this.

Mcdad is obviously trying to laundry money. PayPal has caught on to his sneaky ways.

Feds are on their way.

Gtk. Never done more than $300 and never had a problem.

After this happened, i googled "paypal not" and autofill finished it with "my money".

very common complaint out there. Supposedly held onto one guy's for 4 years.

I never deposit anything on Paypal just use it as a middle man between my debit account and online payment. Has worked for me.

I have never given PayPal my bank account and never intend to. Use American Express and have moved several thousand through them with no problem.

I have used PayPal for years , both sending and receiving money . Mostly small transactions though, but have never had 1 problem. Transferring money to my checking acct. usually only takes 24 hours or less. I've used square as well on my phone for taking payments for a year or so. Not one single incident or bad experience. Guess I've been lucky

Only problem i ever had with PP is trying to contact them -- emails are form letters and reps are always Middle Easterners. But the same with Ebay impossible to email them and calls are on hold for a long time.
