Because if u play clemsons schedule and go undefeated, there is no way that means you are one of the four best. Tennessee could have possibly gone undefeated vs that schedule. Im guessing there are 20 to 30 other teams who also could have.

The 4/8/16 BEST...not simply conf champs. The only way that conference champs work is if everyone is playing a similar schedule, like with divisional races in the NFL.

What are you babbling about? I'm not talking about any specific year. I'm talking about the system that determines the playoff teams, and your ridiculous notion that it should simply be the conference champs. Especially when all conferences are not created equally.

I'm not surprised you cannot grasp the obvious.

Until the conferences are equal in strength, your simpletons' suggestion of conference champs automatically getting a bid to the playoffs is a non-starter.
