Peach Bowl Washington vs Alabama 3:00 pm ESPN

People may get "bored" of bama's success but they won't stop watching. They will tune in to watch for the same reason I do and that's in hope of seeing them get beat. As far as cheating goes, I'm sure there are some rules being bent but that goes on everywhere. Now, if you think there's a conspiracy going on including the NCAA, I would need to see some proof.

I think it will at least get to the point where Bama is winning so convingly and so consistently people will choose not to watch if there are other games on. Why watch a game where there is no suspense? The only ones that will want to watch are Bama fans.

I get what your saying though. I want to be watching when they get beat. But I'm about at that point where I don't care. It simply isn't going to happen anytime soon. Washington is the 4th best team in the country and played a very solid game and it was still not really in question, it was only a matter of time before Bama turned it on.

Are the playoff ratings down?
Serious question.

They dropped from Year 1 to Year 2, but that had way more to do with the games in Year 1 were played on New Year's Day and Year 2 they were on New Year's Eve and NYE was on a Friday.

This year the ratings will probably go back up as even though they're on NYE, NYE was a Saturday this year.

I don't mind Saban. He's a good coach that's hard not to respect.

It's all the other rule bending that gets me. I live here, it's a cesspool of cheating. All that is needed is a level playing field. The entire state is on board with it. Hell, the SEC office is in Birmingham. Saban doesn't need anymore help.

What proof do you have of rule bending and cheating since you live there? I'm curious.

I've lived numerous places all over the country, and the fanaticism, win at all costs, religious devotion to college football down here is on another level. Local websites, news, radio, etc, are reporting it. It's famous how the local press in Tuscaloosa are scared to death of Saban so you get a lot of Auburn people digging around reporting on it. Then the whole Cam Newton thing was big with the Bama press.

This is really more of the recent stuff. But a simple google search brings all sorts of stuff about cars, cash, men's suits. All...every bit of it...just kind of dies. Meanwhile teams like A&M and Ole Miss seem to have the NCAA all over them when they beat Bama.

I believe bama and auburn have cheated more than any programs in the history of college football--more than smu, which got the death penalty. Bama clearly should have gotten it but didn't because it's bama. auburn cheats to keep up with bama. We're talking a poor, backward, redneck state--football's all they got.

Baylor's trying to give them a run for their money lately.

Bama covered the spread.

oh, you was talking about the score....

Did Lane tank the 1st half of Bama's game? Say what you want but the man is a better OC than what he showed tonight. Did Nick pull lane's plug and have Steve run his O the second half? Funny how bama didn't cover until the 2nd half. Almost have to think, Lane stuck his thumb to his nose and waved his fingers at Nick. I can't stand the man but something was bad fishy in this game. Washington should have been blown out in the 2nd quarter.... Thoughts?

Bama is so good they are bad for football at this point. Just on another level and it won't change while Saban is there.

Kiffin's scheme under Saban is to run right at the defense, get everybody inside, and throw the ball around. He has the running game to do it too. I'd say they did pretty much what they wanted to. Sabans game is dominate time of possession and win with great defense. they executed the gameplan and focused on maintaining possession rather than outscoring them. Next game will be more of the same to see if clemson's defense can handle it.

The cheating is real. Bama has signed top classes, but they sign the same caliber athlete as 5-10 other schools. They've also got the same caliber facilities as those schools. Bama players are always bigger and faster to the point that you can see it when they are just standing there killing grass. The S&C secret is the needle. The NFL actually drug tests. Bama players go from all world to bums at the next level. I don't think this is a coincidence.

Alabama just had 6 players in the NFL who made all-pro. Get out much?
