These violations are relatively minor. The problem is that there now seems to be a pattern, and he lied about it on top of it. After the NCAA makes their ruling, I think UT will have the ability to fire him. But unless they uncover more, I still think he should be retained - just kept on a very short leash.

So tell me. If having a recruit to your house or whatever is such a huge deal, then why the heck was it no big deal when it happened at UWM? Self-reported, nothing happened. I know Pearl did it again, and then lied about it. But the actual violation is minor. The repeat offense and lie warranted the punishment he got, and now is on a very short leash. Beyond that, I think this whole deal is a little overblown.

The lie is worse than the infraction. And secondary violations are considered minor until there is a repeat history of them.

Guess his memory was better then. Apparently he recognized his own home and reported the violation while there. Too bad he was unable to recognize his home now---guess it is just too big with all the money he pulls down from UT.

I think people are overreacting to the actual violations. Which really aren't that bad. Which is makes it more worrisome that he felt like he had to lie about them

I don't know how many people are up in arms over the actual violations. I'm pretty sure most of us that are pissed are so because of the cover-up.

I just hope Calipari isn't having a major remodel done on his home to change appearance.:eek:lol:

Bruce is great for UT basketball as a coach, Calipari the same at UK......both are pretty much snake oil salesmen. The problem with Pearl is he is a known snitch and an admitted liar. But I wish they would get off our teams asses......what % of schools and coaches run 100% clean programs anyway?
