Pearl Fights Back...

First, I thought his comments were diplomatic and not nearly as fiery a critique as some of you seem to believe.

Second, good for him. There is no point in Pearl antagonizing anybody right about now. He ought to be gracious at every turn.

Dick Vitale saying Pearl should be suspended for a year like Dez Bryant isn't fiery?
Bilas saying he should be fired during a game he's calling for the Vols isn't fiery?
I promise you one thing if Pearl has another public barbecue those two azzclowns won't be invited.
People should shut their mouths until the NCAA has made their ruling.

I think he meant Pearl's comments. :hi:

The only one who should be shown the door is you. Lol. Coach Pearl will be around for many more BBQ's to come. Don't worry though you will be able to follow Tony Jones to whatever big time coaching job yall think he gets out of this. Ha Ha

Pearl will not be around.
Jones will be canned also.
I will not be shown the door.

Sorry to say that none of your dreams will come true! Lol! It should be consolation to you that UT will continue thrive in basketball without Bruce.

Even though I know I shouldn't be, I am still a bit shocked pearl is still being out there so much during this. Seems that if he would just lay low a while it might help everything from a pr standpoint.

If we go deep in the tournament all will be forgotten. Just like Big Ben and all his off season problems you don't hear anyone talking about that now.

I hate to burst your bubble. This is not going away and
Gary Parrish was on Memphis radio a few weeks talking about a meeting he and 5 other media had with NCAA officials. The NCAA set this up and set ground rules that they could ask any question, but could not use names of coaches, players, or schools. The question was asked how the NCAA would punish a coach for lying about an investigation and would it be similar to the punishment renedered for a player lying. The NCAA's answer was, "not only will the punishment be similar, it will be more punitive because a coach should know better and will be held to a higher standard." Dez Bryant was suspended 1/2 a season for lying. I'll let you connect the dots as to the minimum suspension coming.

Yes, much like the decades of success & prosperity that was enjoyed on the hill before that Charlatan BBQ'er Bruce Pearl rode into town.Just like the pied piper that used his Flute to manipulate young minds , so did Bruce with his Magical Spatula and Grill Tongs. He truly is evil, that one.

Last shot of Georgia game brings Bruce Pearl off couch GoVolsXtra

I like the fact that he took a subtle dig at America's two biggest blowhards, Jay (Bias) Bilas and Dick (Mr. Irrelevant) Vitale. Too bad he's too diplomatic to say what he'd really like to say about those two anti-Vols. But, he knows that the Vol Nation is saying it for him because we've got our coach's back.

Yeah, Pearl is one of the most diplomatic guys to ever walk the hardwood. He would never say anything that would reflect badly on anyone or that would cause him any trouble.

He made 1 mistake give him a break, seriesly, we need him, we really do

he made 1 mistake? really?

he knowingly broke a rule, admitted to others he was knowingly breaking rules when he asked them to lie about what happened if they were questioned, then he himself lied, to the point of saying he didn't even recognize his own kitchen.

clearly his 1 mistake was being a dumbass

Yeah he clearly is not the Zen master of lies & corruption that Caliiapri is. I mean Calipari Burns down 2 Basketball programs and walks away scott free and Pearl just burns a couple of hotdogs on the deck while griling for some high school juniors and gets busted big time. clearly he doesn't have Cal's deceptive skills. Kids remember Coach Cal says always use Deniable Plausibility.
