We did an excellent job with our transition offense for about 30 minutes. Then, by design, Pearl slows the tempo to a snail's pace, and it simply opened the door for the come back. If we keep the foot on the gas, we win that game by 25+. It's clear that this team needs to push the ball when the opportunity is there. Plan for tomorrow night: Bruce, get out of the way with the constant play-calls and draining the shot clock and use your athletes to your advantage. If that happens, we have a great shot at the W.
What you have to remember is Pearl has to slow it down when he can. We can get a lead but then he has to slow it back down because theoretically(sp?) if we were to win and advance we would play 4 games in 4 days. If that were to happen you can't go full out fastbreak all game every game. In a tournament atmosphere you have to try to save energy whenever possible.
