If Bruce Pearl is working without a contract, does that mean that he is coaching Tennessee for free? If so, I think he is doing a great job hanging out and coaching these boys on his spare time. I'll never understand the rules of the NCAA, but who really could?

I really don't get all the Pearl hate. Yeah we suck this year, but we've had a pretty incredible stretch of years leading up to this. Yeah he lied about a BBQ, but give me a break. Support the guy. He's done amazing things here.

Well, if he is working for free I'd feel a lot better, and that would make much more sense. You get what you pay for...

He's also the reason we are in the predicament we are in now. His moderate success isn't worth the embarrassment and future troubles of this program.

Done amazing things is the key word. So far he has gotten in trouble with the NCAA and is not winning. Next year we will be worse. Think of how we are losing games. Look at how the team keeps playing flat. Look at the timeouts he takes at the wrong time. I don't how people can still defend him.

Yeah national recognition for turning around a program, number 1 rankings, and taking a program deeper into the big dance than they've ever been is just meh.

we suck so bad at 3's we could loose to anyone. Tenn. is a much better team when it plays small ball and stops advertising for acme block and brick.

Then ruining everything he did while lieing to the NCAA and cheating. Which has lead to EVERY game this year on tv talk about how he lied and is a cheat. Then talk about all the other problems we have. All that recognition he got is gone. He will forever be a lier and cheat in the media eyes and they will let you know every chance they get. Thanks Brucey.

And while that' s great, the NCAA investigation, subsequent punishments and lackluster future outlook, to go along with some very poor coaching decisions, isn't quite the characteristics of a leader that I want.

I mean what else does the man have to do to get canned.....this is worse than Fulmer. Atleast he had been here a 100 years and won something. With every lose this fanbase gets even more divided. How the hell can someone say he should be the coach??

All at the University of Tennessee. But hey, that's cool. Keep thinking we were even remotely relevant before he got here.

Whatever. If we were a top 5 team and blowing people out of the water, all this boo hooing wouldn't be going on and that mean NCAA would be picking on us for meaningless stuff. You all have fun acting like spoiled little children.
