Awesome. Ap #1 ranking for a day. McDonald AA that has taken 3 years to develop. He has taken us to parts we have never been to. BUT if you think we could not hire a coach that could still those things you are crazy. What will you view be if he gets suspended for a year? You know next year we will be in worse shape? That National recognition is trash now. All they do is talk about the NCAA being all over us.

We never had any sniffed those levels before. So yes, I dont think we could have hired another coach to get us those places, simply because it never has happened before in my lifetime. That's all. I'm just dealing with reality over here.

And every year of basketball before Pearl was like our coach was suspended for a year. We were irrelevant and not playing in the postseason. Who cared to begin with before Bruce. You people need to wake up from this dream that Tennessee is some traditional basketball powerhouse.

The NCAA won't have to put a post season ban on the team cause they won't be there anyway. We have a rogue team who needs Bruce to slap them with a huge dose of reality. They suck at free throws , they suck at three pointers and basically any other shot that requires stopping, elevating at shooting. They suck at boxing out , on the positive we have 2 players who can score points if the shoot enough, % usually sucks and oh yeah Brian Williams can make a good pass from time to time. I personally believe that this group of players would have quit under Kevin Oniell's rule. We have a bunch of no talent players plain and simple.

Did you watch basketball under Jerry Green? He was bad for the program, but his records just weren't all that different from Pearl's.

I know UT is not a powerhouse. But to say if he was fired we will suck again is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. Why?? TBA holds 20,000 seats and has just been updated. We have shown that we can feel it on a regular basis. It is not the trash of old. We have new bball faculities. We get national tv exposure with the espn deal. And the most important thing is we have $$$$$$$$$. If you think 3 million a year will not get you someone better than Pearl you are crazy.

I just don't understand the inability to shoot the rock. Players without recruiting ranking shoot better than 3/4 star players for UT. Golden throws a damn middle spin curve ball up there off his thumb. 2-7 in games decided on the last possession this year. With no leader and 1 shooter, it's not surprising. BP has made plenty of coaching mistakes. All coaches do, but you look either good or bad, depending on your scorers/shooters.

Seriously, where were you during the Green years? Considering we were about 5:00 from the Elite Eight and had UNC on the ropes only to go brain dead and blow it, saying we've never "sniffed" the EE is retarded.

What is this Jerry Green era you speak of? In 2005, Bruce Pearl came to Knoxville and singlehandedly erected TBA and launched UT basketball program. Everything was from scratch, so he found scrubs like Lofton, Watson, JuJuan to help out until he could load the roster with top 10 talent. Those guys weren't already here or anything, Bruce did it all, he IS UTbball. I have never heard of Green, or Allan Houston, or Dyron Nix, Bernard King, Ron Widby, Grunfield, Justice.
