Thank you. It's like when people realize we need a coaching change, then they expect a scorched earth solution immediately. There is a process and it aint exploding the team with 6 games left.
I realize that it seems far fetched, but what if we got on a run, won the SEC Tourney and made a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 run. Last years late season run was predicted by nobody too, due to the disappointing season leading up to it.

:eek:lol:

In the post above I thought about adding "you don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger" ... but based on the character in the epic fail of the movie that was just out, .... he wouldn't care.

"If I were the coach I would have told the players, get it in to Stokes on every play down the stretch and good luck trying to gaurd his big ass. I expected that and it just didnt happen."

No offense - but other than apparently the brain trust seated on the UT bench - who among us wouldn't have said exactly the same thing. I think the story line is not that Bruce said this, but rather that all the sportswriters, most of the fans, joe everyman - anyone who has played pick up or youth basketball would have said the same thing. We are paying someone 1.3 M who struggles with what most would consider basketball basics.

Stokes is shooting close to 60% in his last 10 SEC games and I really can't expect more from him - he is a warrior - it's our coaching staffs job to get him the ball - it's the opposing coaching staffs job to sag off and not let him get the ball.

Rediculous position which can not be supported with fact.

So 90% of the time under CBP's direction UT was unable to execute their offense effectively in crunch time yet he was somehow able to win 70% of the games. You sir have a selective memory. :salute:

Well, the "fact" is that in Bruce's last year, we were 3-5 in one possession games, 2-2 the year before, and 2-5 the year before that. (7-12 in one possession games is poor, by the way.) You'll notice that only a small percentage of games ended that close. Some of those games came down to the other team making an offensive play. Some came down to our team making an offensive play. (Admittedly, a good play call doesn't always translate into a win, nor does a bad play call always translate into a loss. When a team crashes the boards and gets up three shots in the last five seconds, it usually wasn't the play call that got the bucket.) So, yes, he could easily win 70% of his games and still be lousy at designing plays with the game on the line.

And we would have won if Bruce was the coach.

hilarious how inept our AD and chancellor cheek will be when it's time to cut cuonzo loose! which it is!

If Bruce were the coach again we wouldn't have lost half the games we lost this season! I will give CCM the benefit of the doubt on last season because of the loss of Maymon, but this year there is no excuse. BRING BRUCE BACK!!!
