I really wish this whole thing would've never happened. It was nice to be able to compete with the nations top teams. He has barely been gone a couple of months, and we are back to competing for the bottom of the league.

Of course he will coach again....I think sooner rather than later...might not be in the NCAA...but might...The simple fact is Bruce has tons to offer....and if not for the snag with NCAA many teams across this land would LOVE to have a BP....many different reasons why folks can't be honest when it comes to BP....I for one realize we had to cut him loose but you don't have to go far beyond the record books to see what he did for Tennessee basketball....any denial of that is simply "denial"....now let's please move forward....

He did a lot of positive things for the program, but he also did an awful lot of damage as well.

Give me a break. Try grabbing a clue.

Man its unreal to look at where we are now and know that we were #1 in the nation just a few years ago and in the Elite 8 2 years ago. Our program folded.

Such is life when built on a house of cards.

Yeah, we have no chance of ever achieving the greatness of the Pearl era. Too bad that no other coach has any possibility of being successful at UT.

I think plenty of people could succeed here. Unfortunately I don't think Cuonzo is the man to do it. We went the safe route with this hire. Very few were interested in stepping into this mess but I do believe we will be looking for a bball coach again in 3 or 4 years.

Let's give him a chance to coach at least one game prior to making a decision that he can't coach.

Again, let's let Martin have a full year to recruit before making a decision that not only can he not coach, he can't recruit either.

I'm sorry, I must have missed us in the preseason top 25. I also must have missed us in any top 25 recruiting. Maybe you need to get a clue.

Maybe you need to accept reality. We had no chance for a top 25 recruiting class with the NCAA mess and coaching change. We would not have been a top 25 team next year if Pearl had stayed as coach. However, to say the program is dead and can't ever be successful again is ludicrous.

Thomas said he was coming here if Bruce had stayed.

I hope he gets the chance to coach again and I wish him all the best. His tenure was one of the best in Tennessee history. Only Ray Mears was better. He brought excitement back to basketball at Tennessee.
