Dont worry they did. LSU is playing very good basketball right now. Its funny that Tennessee is completely overlooking us even though we were a made 3 from sending the game into overtime.

Yeah I don't know why someone would overlook the worst team in the conference.

I wish these comments were never made from Pearl. They are only going to be used as bulletin board material for LSU.

Who gives a tiger crap. A team that 11-19 (2-14) Should have enough bulletin board material to motivate an army. This team has had their butts handed to them 17 times If this team has any backbone heart or gumption about them they will fight for their lives on thursday, but up to this point bullitin board matterial has been no more than a decorative display of uselessness. They have plenty to come out and fight for on thursday but I think the least of it will be what pearl said. Ill have to see it to believe it because this teams back has been against the wall all season and I've not seen them respond yet.

Good post.

I'm still laughing at the lsu fan telling us to watch out above. Reminds me of Memphis football fans back last fall. :eek:lol:

Since LSU has had a basketball player just arrested, not sure what they are telling us to watch out for.

Yall are very arrogant seeing as if Taz hits his shot from the top of the key LSU sends the game into overtime against Tennessee.

With the season they have had, I could see how this is a moral victory. 2-14 (3-13 moral)

Well if you want to go by games that we could have won:
South Carolina
Auburn
Tennessee
@ Vanderbilt
Mississippi St.

LSU is bad this year but they arent just going to roll over and die like some of you are expecting

The reason why most are overlooking LSU is because of things like this: Tennessee Volunteers vs. LSU Tigers - Recap - February 04, 2010 - ESPN

Look at the game flow, UT is in the lead for the whole game, basically.

Can LSU win on Thursday? Yes, but the only way is if UT plays very poorly, and LSU plays above their heads.

What does "msu" stand for?

LSU just needs to have someone other than Taz show up. If Spencer can come in and makes his shots that opens everything up.

msu stands for McNeese State university--Its where I go to college

As much as I like Pearl, he might want to figure out how to win a tournament before he decides to tell anyone how one should be set up.

It's odd that the issues with seeding haven't come up before... at least I don't remember hearing about it.

You do realize that if UT doesn't sleep walk through the majority of the game and let you back in, your Tigers would have been embarrassed at home losing by 20+.

I don't know that one division has ever dominated the other this badly. The top four teams in the East are undefeated against the West.

I'm not a fan of the divisional breakdown.

What's the alternative, a Big East style mosh-pit? Dividing the conference in half, then rewarding the best in each half, seems reasonable to me.

It's odd that the issues with seeding haven't come up before... at least I don't remember hearing about it.

That's a good point. I'd also remind coaches and fans that if UT doesn't get thumped by Vandy twice and lay an egg at UGa, this isn't an issue on these boards. The price for that is having to play the worst team from the west. I wish we weren't in that situation, but it doesn't really seem to indicate systemic problems with the tournament to me.
