In the perfect world...Selby had a triple-double and told Bruce that he could not wait to throw Tobias alley-oops!

He will be a Vol. Book it!!

Looks like to me Selby will be a Jay Hawk next year. His mom is dead set on him not coming to UT. I hope I am wrong. I will admit that it was strange for Pearl to take off in the middle of the week to go see Selby play......but the interview his mom gave after the game indicated UT was not in the focus of his recruitment.

His mom needs to butt out and let the kid make his own choices in life now...He's a big boy and should be able to pick whatever school he wants to go to without having his mother dictate it...It's his future not hers.

All the info I find is indicating Kansas,Arizona and Kentucky as front runners. Any one with any other info ???

Well, if we can't look forward to watching Selby play for the Vols, we can at least look forward to the Vols upsetting the team he plays for.

parents should not get in the way of where a kid plays and to me ,the parents that do either played or went to a school.or if they have no ties to a school they have been paid or promised payment once schooling, his mom probally knows that some schools or coaches or boosters or all three will pay money to have a kid come there,id take selby but would rather get a center like the 6,9 moses kid from nc from nigeria.and get wroten next year with guys committed and the other kid from melrose adonis thomas then the vols will be loaded

Oh come on now. IF this was a kid that wanted to go somewhere else, but his mom wanted him to play for TN people would be saying the kid needs to listen to his mom. lol But nah, seriously... if you had a kid, u would give him some input to... and u would also hope they listen to you for a bit. I mean his mom probably has concerns wether misinformed or not about the number of players that have gotten kicked off for drug related matters the last couple of years. I don't think that makes her a bad parent just b/c she may not want her son to go to that. As a vol fan... I certainly hope she is willing to come look at TN w/ her son w/ an open mind if he wants to come here... but I at least understand her concern as a parent.

Has she ever said why she doesn't like Tennessee? I would say he goes to KU, because he would be starting (no doubt) in his first year, and have a legitimate shot at a National Title in his one year in college. Where as UT is more of a couple years away from something like that, if ever.

Yet it would certainly help us if decided orange was in his future, and he would get plenty of playing time, if not starting right off. It would be a monster class (with definite title possibilities) and coach pearl could give him his love and wisdom. Yet something tells me, Josh really isn't about love and wisdom, but more about the Benjamins and a future NBA career. And who can blame him, if I had his talent, I would likely be the same way, although I don't think I'd be letting my mom call the shots.

what makes them a legitimate shot to win the National Title next year?
