Hey, did anyone hear why Coach Pearl was yelling at McBee on the bench last night after Pearl's technical? The TV guys were laughing about it because Skylar hadn't even been in the game around that time. Coach Pearl got the T and a couple of seconds later was over in McBee's face tearing him apart. They said McBee was smiling and kind of cracking up after Pearl finished yelling. Anybody know what that was about???

Could be that he just hadn't finished his first attack. McBee did not perform well last night and didn't return to the floor. I think Pearl expects more from him and let him know it. His foul on a Arkansas player that was already falling down as he attempted a 3 seemed to bother Pearl.

that and the inbounds pass from arkansas that led to a wide open 3. mcbee totally missed guarding him.

I want one of Frank Zane, but I have no clue how to add an avvy to my profile. Sorry to get off topic, GBO!

I've noticed Pearl is always sitting by and talking to McBee.

I could be wrong but I've just thought that McBee probably has a high basketball IQ and Pearl is kind of teaching him the ropes of being a coach. Like a graduate assistant or something. That and it also helps when you have a player on the court that thinks like the coach. Just my opinion/guess.

His high IQ as to defense seemed to escape him last night.

His IQ or his athleticism?

There is a reason next to no schools offered him a scholarship and he is getting significant playing time on a top 25 team. It's not because he is big, fast or strong.

I forgot who said it in the game thread, but it might be CBP ranting at the Rutledge Revolver just so the refs could hear him after the T
