WOW ONE!!! Green was a jerk, and he was arrogant. Way to Yankee for most people. He was winning but it was painful and no fun!!!

Jerry Green was from North Caroilina. Real "yankee" territory.

It took a team to lose it, but Harris was a disaster. He had confidence, but it was wildly misplaced.

When someone mentions UT never having advanced past the round of 16, I start having visions of Ed Cota using Tony Harris as a turnstile and I hear Jerry Green admitting after the game that he didn't know Brendan Haywood had fouled out.

I know the J Green era very well. It never approached the level we are now. People were thrilled when we beat SEC teams that were ranked and rushed the floor. Now TN beats the number 1 team and there is no pandemonium. TN loses a game and people are on suicide watch. Totally different expectations.

One thing about uncle jed he made sports talk radio in ktown fun. I can still remember phil and zr and those old callers, man that was the good days, a lot of good callers at that time, Tony B's show was the best in knoxville in the green era.
