Pelini owes sailor more than an apology

This sailor got free field pass and free jersey, and even gets to meet the team and coach yet he complains? This is just a symptom of today's society, you give somebody $500 and they complain because they didn't get $501! Be happy with what you got.

...maybe you should read the article before jumping to a very idiotic conclusion.

Reminds me of a previous coach of ours that would do anything as a PR move

Why ask if someone wants to call a play, and then proceed to dishonor the obligation?

It reminds me of this: YouTube - Pass Right FirstandGold 2005

Weis had the class to keep the promise.

While it was a dickish thing of Pelini to do, I dont think these 2 instances resemble each other at all. That was a dying 10 year old Weis made a promise to. That has a little more meaning to it.

I don't understand how Pelini would have been inconvenienced by letting the guy call one play. Just let him call the first play of the game. Not a big deal if it doesn't go for a bunch of yards and you look good at the same time.

Seriously, I mean, if he calls a play and it results into a pick six or something where the team scores off a turnover, Bo has an out for a loss. Just blame the sailor boy, it was his fault :p
