Pelosi having a Joe Biden moment.

We see it as an entrepreneurial bill,” Pelosi said, “a bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care

While I do not agree with the idiot congresswoman's statement I will say that one problem with our old healthcare system was that it was too tied to employment.

And how do you think that has changed?

She should get approval before speaking or interviewing. Zero thought put into that statement.

Don't be shy. I am seriously asking, because as far as I know it really hasn't.

Sorry, I was sitting in traffic in NC at the rockslide when I typed that and we started moving faster than I expected.

I am by no means an expert on this healthcare bill, but it at least seems to me as I have read that through these exchanges that unemployed, self-employed, or small-busineseses will be able to get insurance cheaper than previously able.

However, I am not sure if individuals employed would be able to opt out to purchase insurance from these exchanges or not.

They'll use it to make unemployment figures look good. If you quit work and aren't looking, you aren't unemployed.

isn't paying for pretty much everything in this country tied to employment?

So everyone disagreeing with that statement is against the "Freedom" to have that choice.

You have the freedom to do whatever you want to do but there are consequences to certain choices one might make. Quit a job that offers health insurance to pursue a dream in a music field for example, that doesn't offer health insurance you shouldn't expect others to subsidize you.

If you, or anyone elses, chooses to spend your time picking your Sitar at the top of the steps at Washington Square Station, why should anyone be forced to cover your ass health wise?

Well, currently it's the law that they do so.
