I agree, but I think if you examine the ones making these kind of posts, they usually aren't the ones I'd consider the "respected" posters around here.

The majority of the ones making posts like you describe are the same ones who said we'd roll Oregon and Florida, then said it was stupid for anyone to expect that to happen, then called for Jones' head after the South Alabama game and the first half of the Georgia game, then turned around and claimed we're back and now are saying we go 8-4, maybe 9-3.

Don't even know why people think we have a shot to beat them. We lost to a UGA without their 3 starting WR and starting 2 RB. We may upset but it would have to be because South Carolina beat themselves.

We are going out there and kick there ffffffffffffffffffffffffffing azz, and if you don't think we can that's alright, if they beat us so what they do, then we will go out and kick bama azz, you got to have hope.

People who think we have a great shot at winning this Saturday, what the hell do you base that on? Because of a decent 2nd half performance against a Georgia team with a severely depleted offense and a very mediocre defense? What sort of metrics are you using to base that opinion on? And don't give me "Well, cuz we're Tennessee by God and I got a feelin'!."

I am all for optimism and I don't begrudge anyone for having it. But I get sick and tired of people lashing out at certain fans who are accused of being negative just because they choose to look at the reality of the situation rather than allowing orange tinted glasses emotion to factor into it. I swear some people have watched WAY too many feel good sports films where the unlikely happens! 1980 US Hockey teams don't grow on trees like crab apples! In most cases, the teams with the better talent win. PERIOD! We are staring right down the barrel of a 6 game stretch where at least 4 of those teams are more talented and are playing better football than we are right now.

Like I've said folks, brace yourselves! In all likelihood we are headed for yet another 5-7 season. If we luck up and steal one to get 6 wins and get to a bowl, that's fantastic! But I wouldn't bet on it.

Didnt you know that the people on this board are.the most delusional people in sports. We lose to Georgia in OT and we're back! Taking SC down! One guy even posted a thread about Worley being the best qb in the league next year after that game??? It is truly a comedic experience to log onto here.
