People need to chill

The holding call on North... The intentional grounding call when 2 receivers were in the area... The unsportsmanlike on the sideline going into the half...

They also missed several holds against UGA OL and then call when at the very end when we are in a position to not be able to accept it.

It's not a moral victory, its a moral defeat.

What else can you want? UT played against a far more talented team (ranked top 15 in the nation) at their place, and the game went down to the last minute. UT did this when Vegas (reasonably objective observers) believe that UT should have lost by 17.

How you feel is up to you.

I have no problems with what I saw today and the game was winnable until the end. I am dumbfounded by how despondent some people are. I love the passion, but hate the emotion unfettered by logic or reasonableness. It is just like Jack Nicholson said in "As Good as it Gets." How do you write Tennessee fans so well? Well...I think of a man, then I remove all logic and reason. At least, I think he said something like that.

Receptionist: How do you write women so well?

Melvin Udall: I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability (As Good as It Gets (1997) - Quotes - IMDb).

That analogy is entirely appropriate with respect to the Legions of the Miserable. Unfortunately, they are disproportionately loud in voicing their opinions.

I couldn't believe they called grounding on that play. There were clearly two receivers in the area.....that was a really fecal call

This is absolutely wrong. Look at Ole Miss. They are the #10 team in the nation, and who have they really beat? Ok, I'll give you LSU last year. Well, we beat an 11 win SC team. Recruiting is what will get us back to where we belong.

Ole Miss is NOT where we want to eventually be yet (i.e. competing for and winning championships). If they beat Bama in a couple of weeks, then they will be. But they aren't expected to beat Alabama, so to be where we want to be eventually (i.e. competing for and winning championships) they will have to exceed their expectations, hence proving my point. If they lose to both Bama and A & M as expected, then they will not be in the championship picture.

People "need to chill," eh? Been hearing that for 10 years. Nobody gives a crap what the spread was--this is the SEC: you either win or you don't.

So using your logic, we could have sustained injuries to our entire 2 deep roster, and we STILL should have won? All there is is winning and losing, right?

That's right. Winning is all that matters. PERIOD!!! If you lose, it doesn't matter the circumstances, you lost. Moral victories and excuses are for losers.

You're an idiot iff you think the OC lost this game.

Oh, and I guess it was somebody else who called the play to hand it off in our own end zone with our pathetic O-line, instead of calling a quick slant or some other quick hitting pass play to get us off the goal line. Surely we have figured out that we can't line up and run right at people by now.

You are only a moron if you think the play calling and OC didn't lose this game.

Most people thought we'd be 2-2 now and that's exactly where we are. Next week is the game that's the real difference-maker. If we drop a home game to UF, we'll have a losing record and a lot of negativity heading into a tough stretch. UF is a must-win.

And what would you of called that would of been so much better? He fumbled the hand off its happened before.

It's high time we start beating expectations instead of just meeting crappy ones. Why can't we ever be the freakin team that overachieves, like Arkansas is this year? It's always somebody else that does, why not us??? I'm fed up and sick of losing, and excuses.

I would have called a quick slant or quick out, to get us off the goal line, then I would have started calling for the downfield crossing routes that we used in the 4th qtr to stay in the game. We can't freakin run with this OL, and the only way we could hurt UGA was throwing it downfield. It was friggin obvious!!!

The 22 yr gain by Pig that was brought back for a "hold" was a big change in momentum. Total BS call. I'm just tired of saying that after every game. Why is it that we seem to perpetually get the shaft by the refs?

That call was BS.

Which calls?

UGA punt returner called for a fair catch and then took off.. that's a penalty.

Rulebook also states if a player calls for a fair catch you can't touch the returner or the ball unless the ball touches the ground. Cam called a fair catch and got hit.. they let the ball get grounded at the 1 with no penalty called.

Their excuse as to why it wasn't a penalty was so bogus. Hope they are held accountable for that somehow. His momentum carried him forward wtf

I agree and I'm sick of it, too. But we gotta start somewhere, and we'll have better odds against UF and the other East teams. UGA is better than they looked today. Gurley carried them and we don't have a Gurley. We don't even have a backup QB.

Only a loser thinks like this. It don't freakin matter what the spread was. We lost, PERIOD !!! All there is is winning and losing. Nothing else matters. If we had a decent offensive coordinator who could call plays properly, then we win. So the bottom line is there is no excuse for not winning this game, PERIOD.

Only an idiot would not see the obvious progress from the shaft that the football program went down. I'm just happy we held them to three.

If you expect your expectations to get hit every time, you'll never be happy in life. It will be a mountain of perpetual disappointment. I bet you expect your wife/girlfriend to maintain the same figure through out her life.

I agree with the title. Everyone wants a big win and they want it now. I'm no exception. I have what I feel are realistic expectations for this season. But on gameday I'm like, "screw it, we're winning today!"

Everyone remembers the 2006 upset in Athens, and it's easy to think "why can't our teams do that, NOW?" My response is, "We will!" We have to remember, in 2006 things were on a downward trend, but we were still pretty darned good and nationally relevant. Now, things are trending upward, we are definitely emerging, and people are noticing.

We don't lose this game 10/10 times. We win if it's at Neyland (hands on hearts, please). We win if they don't have Gurley. We perhaps win if Worley doesn't miss the better part of a quarter. We win if you eliminate the turnover in the end zone.

I'm NOT in to moral victories. But anyone who says it's ALWAYS as simple as wins and losses is a simpleton.

Truth. The refs supposed explanation was even worse. Announcers said the ref defended the no call with "the returners momentum propelled him forward."

He caught the ball standing still and ran at least 7 yards after the signal.

What is wrong with folks? Vegas had this game at 17, and we kept it to 3. I know moral victories are getting old, but look at our circumstances: Von Pearson and Josh Smith have injuries. We are playing a guard at LT. We are playing a freshman DT at guard. Worley was out in the 3rd quarter. We were playing the #12 team in the country. We play more freshman than anyone in the nation.

Having said all this, we still scored 32 in a hostile environment. Yet, people are calling for Bajakian's head and are dooming us to perpetual bottom dwelling. I've seen threads like this countless times now, but people really do need to get a grip and realize that once this young team matures, we are going to be very good.

We are playing a matador at RT

What has Arkansas done this year? Choked with a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter. Got beat by two ranked teams. Same as we have. Beat a bunch of nobodies. Don't say Texas Tech is a good team either. Your argument is idiotic

Can't say they cost us the game because they really didn't, but the two biggest bs calls to me we're the fair catch signal the GA player called for, and then he ran, and the call on our bench just before halftime. Did anyone notice CBJ? You could read his lips, and he was telling the refs that the call was BS. He said it several times. At least iirc I think that was the call he was referring to.
