People voting with their feet.

Know a guy that's voting for Bernie but he moved from CA because it was too expensive. Go figure.

Same! Neighbor from NY moved here for no state income tax, low cost of living. He’s a pretty solid Dem. I did ask him one day, “who the hell do you think created the situation you were trying to get away from?!” Rails against Trump as he talks about the money he’s making in the markets. SMDH.

Oh no, not at all! He danced around it and moved on to something else. I tried to hold his feet to the fire and he said we’re just not going to agree. Agree on what? I pointed out a fact to you! (Him). Then he got heavily involved in HOA board and thought he was freaking King. Pissed everyone off and they quit. We had ONE single board member till he gave it up. A real gem.

If you want to find out who is moving into your community go to a dog park. I try and take my dog to the dog park once a week or so and it's an easy place to start up conversations with total strangers. Just this past week I met a nice young couple from Illinois that escaped because of the taxes. In the parking lot I saw license plates from New York, Indiana and Michigan. One of my new neighbors I met recently informed me that she found out that they were "half backs". I'm telling you it's a northern invasion.

Blue States subsidize the Red States. Blue States get far less back from the Government than they contribute while Red States bleed the Government coffers dry. Fact.
This has nothing to do with the title of this thread. Dems live in states like California, vote in far left Governors and legislatures, then get mad when they get regulated and taxed to death then move to other states like Texas and Arizona and still vote democrat. Fact.

I've read that time after time. I've yet to find anything supporting it. The closest thing (graphs for fed expenditures by state) never separates payments for military, government/defense contractors, SS/Medicare payments, military/government retirements, and so on from true welfare payouts. See above: people from communist states retire to southern states ... nobody retires to NY, NJ, etc. Where do you think SS/Medicare and government/military retirement funds would naturally flow?

I think a lot of this comes from cost of living wages. It costs a hell of a lot more to live in New York and California than it does Tennessee. Consequentially the high cost states have higher wages therefore they pay higher federal taxes. Granted there are tons of other factors that come into play, but that is definitely a major one. I for one benefitted greatly from this by enjoying a job that had to compete nationally for people, but since I lived in a low cost state didn't get a lower cost pay.

There's a boatload of data available;e. You are obviously not really trying to find the data because you know that Red States depend on Big Government far more than Blue States.

Why dont you pull it up since you're so heavily invested in defending socialist governments.

That's very true; there are definitely multiple components for the apparent fed state tax vs spending disparity. I asked in one of these threads the other day if welfare is based on local or federal income levels because as you say cost of living is far cheaper in a place like MS that NY or CA.

I think things like welfare, medicaid and unemployment are administered by the states but get government funding for some/most/maybe all of it, I'm not sure.
