People who r saying BAMA LSU was such a great game

...sound like NBC announcers after Notre Dame squeeks out a win... saying it is an instant classic that will go down in history.. don't believe the hype...people will have forgotten the LSU UA game in a couple of years.

It was a good game with a lot of fun to watch hard defensive hitting and offensive running.. but not a great classic game... probably even less exciting than the Mt. Cody blocked field goal debacle we had to experience a few years ago


I initially stated that this game was boring....Let me eloborate
The game was like the movie everyone says is so great and then you go to watch it and it is a good/OK movie but not great, but you are so initially let down becase you were hoping to see an awesome movie you would even say it is borning when in reality it was an averagely entertaining movie

This exact topic of the game being boring, a let down, or whatever you want to call it was discussed on essentially every sports talk show in the USA..... so IMO and in the opion of many sportswriters all you idiots who were blinded by the hype and say this was such a great game are suckers (there is one born very minute..which accounts for why so many people thought this game was soooo much fun)

Backpedal much? You started a thread about it called "What a boring game." You got emasculated in that thread, so now you're going to come back and say that no, what you really meant was that it was "fun to watch" but just not an all-time classic?

Heck I forgot about this game already, next game is the only thing that matters. It was ok, very hard fought, it was epic because of what was at stake. Not a classic but a very important win. I didn't think it was boring, of course more offense would have been more entertaining but that is just the way it goes.

Let me eloborate

Apparently not since I've seen sports talk shows say the exact opposite. But keep trying.

Boring was not the best choice of words and I said that in my prior thread. I should have said huge let down in my initial thread. You got me big guy you are sooo awesome

I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm guessing that maturity is an issue. First of all, you are entitled to your opinion on the viewing quality of the game. There is no rule that everyone has to enjoy one particular type of game, or one particular type of movie for that matter. If you don't find hard hitting defensive battles exciting, that's fine. Some fans only enjoy offensive showings, and there is nothing inherently wrong with that. But, please don't refer to others as idiots and fools because they have a different opinion. It's small minded, petty, and just makes you look childish.

I happen to love watching a good defense that can disrupt and totally shut down the opposing team's offense. When you have two sides like that, it makes for a great contest. Similarly, I enjoy baseball games dominated by great pitching and defense, although they are often boring to some. That's just my view, and it has nothing to do with any media "hype" as you put it.

Dude I was unleashed on by folks on this site who attacked my knowledge about football (a game I actally played and know about than most)becase I did not think this game was great... now I am just giving it back to them... as any man would do

This. I spend 90% of my day in the car listening to espn, dp & jim rome. None of them said it was boring or a let down. I'm sure the debate type shows did cause they have to have something to argue about. Wookie can't seem to grasp that fact though

Cowherd on Monday was talking about how great the game and teams were. Said there were about 30 future nfl players, 15 of them will be drafted in the spring. was comparing it to okie lite/ksu that only had about 5 future nfl guys.

my initial thought after the game was wow this could have been a lot better. No talk show hosts involved... I'm sick and tired of Saben ball
