my initial thought after the game was wow this could have been a lot better. No talk show hosts involved... I'm sick and tired of Saben ball

Dude youre entitled to your opinion but don't make up stuff to prove your point and act like everyone else is an idiot

I did hear this argument on PTI, Around the horn and on other debate type shows... I know that the style of these shows brings any arguement to the table. Just becasue the majority thinks this was a great game does not make it so

I am just slinging mud back at this point to the a-holes who have taken it to the next level with inflammatory comments

I have to think that on some level, the very notion of a great game is itself defined by popular opinion.

If the last play was a Hail Mary then it would have been called an instant classic. People remember big plays not games.

If you can't watch a game like that then you're a woman.

These teams averaged almost 40 points a game against everybody else they played. Both teams have been able to run right right down the throats of anybody they've played. Then suddenly they play each other and neither can move the ball. And all the nimrods ***** about how "incompetent" the offenses are and how boring the game is. Boo freaking hoo. Read Neyland's maxims; that's the kind of game they were made for.

Did you see Steelers-Ravens the other night? Same kind of game. A man's game. It was riveting too.

If you don't know how to watch a game like that then I'm genuinely sorry for you. It must be like being a deaf person reading an article about Louis Armstrong.

this game was nothing like Steelers Ravens and that is my exact point

:finger3: you are overly impressed by the LSU BAMA game:finger3: U must have a weak mind... or maybe your getting a little older and it is starting to take a toll on you

Again I wathced it. The defeses were good, but the QB's were incompetent and missed on soo many opportunites with bad passes and wrong reads it tainted the game...

This was not the case in the Steelers-Raven for example take this quote from the Washington Post
This has been a good week for Flacco, who led the Baltimore Ravens on a beat-the-clock drive Sunday night in a 23-20 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Showing all the poise of a 10-year veteran, Flacco moved the offense 92 yards against the league’s second-ranked defense, culminating the march with a 26-yard touchdown pass to rookie Torrey Smith with eight seconds remaining. Flacco finished with 300 yards passing.....Flacco, who fumbled midway through the fourth quarter to set up Roethlisberger's strike to Wallace, atoned with 2:16 of brilliance

another quote to show just how wrong your are
"The Steelers trailed by 10 going into the fourth quarter but roared back behind Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger finished with 330 yards passing to become the first Pittsburgh quarterback to top 300 in three consecutive games, but the Steelers' defense couldn't contain Flacco at the end."

The Steelers v Ravens game was the kind of game I was expecting out of the UA v LSU game. No doubt that it was a true battle between defensive powerhouses, but it wasn't "on the edge of my seat" exciting. It had the chance to be great when it went into overtime, but Bama royally screwed that up.
