Ahhhh so this is like a kayak... I thought you were trying to buy an actual pontoon for that amount lol

I should have titled this inflatable pontoon to clear that up. I have a real pontoon. I wish they were that cheap. Dang things cost as much as real boats these days. Worth every penny though.

I ended up buying a Fishcat 9IR by Outcast boats. Seems like a sturdy boat with room for a small cooler and an extra rod. A local fly shop had it and matched the deals on the internet so I ended up not paying shipping either. I can't wait to try it out. I'm just waiting on river to go down a little after all the rain.

I was going to say try a kayak, but I'm not sure about anchoring one down and fishing out of one in a strong current,I've been down the Clinch and Nolichucky in a couple of different ones, they were older models, they weren't very comfortable or anything, but not bad either,I enjoyed going fishing in them,I'd still go other than the arthritis won't let me

I caught the most fish in a single day on the Clinch river from one, when we started counting i ended up with over 80 small mouth caught,no idea how many before that and I barely made the limit for that day :)

I'm not sure how well the inflatables last going over the rocks in the rapid these days either,I went down the river a couple of times in one before and we had to do some patching as we went too lol that was years ago though,so there bound to be better now and we did take a roll of duct tape with the kayaks too ,it stopped several leaks :)
