I heard from a work associate that Pete Carroll has expressed interest in coaching at Tennessee so he could prove he has what it takes to win in the SEC-- thoughts?

I'm skeptical.

Granted, if he did come to UT, I'd go beserk.

Update: I actually asked my friend who his source was. He said it was a good friend's uncle who knew someone at UT-- the uncle told my friend yesterday that there would be a press conference today about Fulmer. The Same Source also said that a single booster is paying off fulmer so the AD can go after Carroll...so maybe there is more merit to the story than we originally gave it...

USC succeeds from the instate talent of CA, don't think Carroll would have the same success here at UT.

I heard the same thing about Tony Dungy. Said he's seen enough of the AFC South, wants to try his hand in the SEC east. Makes sense to me.

Second time I have heard that rumor. Once here, once from somebody with the athletic dept. Doubt it....but would be ecstatic were it true.

If PC leaves SC to come to UT I'd probably die of laughter.

I could not contain myself if PC wanted to come here. This is, however, about as likely as Bill Cowher being the next head coach.

I heard the same thing about a month or so ago. He apparently is pissed that USC has not even attempted to upgrade the facilities as promised and he would love the challenge of taking a school like UT and building it back up. Apparently he has family ties in Memphis as well.

Do I believe this? NO..... However, I did hear the same thing.

I went to a tarot card reader the other day and they said, they felt a "tennessee" coach would return the program to glory......i am assuming they are referring to jeff fisher since he has property in tn, these rumors are ridiculous!! If i were to make a prediction on who the front runner for the job is, i would say chris peterson, but i have no clue.
