Don't discourage the kid. I saw Joe Namath in his first snap at Neyland fumble the ball. We should be encouraging all of our players to work to improve, not telling them how bad they are. That is not the mentality to build a successful program and certainly not worthy of any supportive fan base. Can you just imagine how bad NP felt about his performance? Have any of you ever been in a situation where you performed well below what you expected yourself to do? How bad did you feel after that? He doesn't need people telling him...he knows it. So, now what? How do we handle it publically in order to be a positive influence on his development? Ask yourself, if you were in the same situation, what would you want?
