I think as long as Bob is there, which may be one year, Kentucky won't be the number two team in the state.

Well they definetly beat uk. Then they will give us all we want if we aren't careful! They beat Troy last year!

Yes, but it's Western, and we don't play them every year going forward until the end of time.

I suspect Western was higher ranked than TN at the end of this season. They have a very good team for the SunBelt level and could beat several big name schools this year.

We will beat WKU by 6 TD's. Just saying.

LOL. We will win, but only by 3 TDs at most. WKU actually has a really good and talented defense, and they have quite a bit of great offensive talent for Petrino to utilize. The 'Toppers were hampered by an average QB to whom Taggart was unfailingly loyal, to the detriment of that team. We should win that one, but I gurantee you it will be closer than many think.

Chastity belts and metal bras are being shipped in by the truckloads already.

WKU just lowered themselves and lost any respect I had for them by hiring that scumbag.

VFL...GBO!!!

If bobby puts up big numbers at WKU for a couple of years, he'll get a huge offer when the heat dies down.

I wonder how many interns and Harleys Petrino got in the deal? He will be one and done and move to the next big thing. I am soooo glad he is not our problem!:td:

Your arrogance is amazing. I have been a Vols fan for over 30 years so I definitely want them to be successful, but I understand that there is some work to do. Thinking that the Vols will beat anyone by 6 touchdowns is ludicrous, but beating WKU by that amount is even more ludicrous. WKU gave up 26 points to Troy this season, compared to UT's 40+. WKU is returning 7 offensive starters and the leading all-purpose runner in the nation (Antonio Andrews could break Barry Sanders' single season record for all-purpose yards in the Little Caesar's Bowl this season). Assuming Petrino keeps the DC and no juniors leave early, WKU will return a top-flight linebacking corps, led by Andrew Jackson, and a great defensive backfield, led by Jonathon Dowling. Did not really want to pontificate on the virtues of WKU football, but the arrogance of fans (of any team) as it relates to other teams of which they have no knowledge is very irritating.

I know Dooley spanked Western. But that was before Taggart turned the program around. The way I see it next year, I'm always a VOL first, a hilltopper second. UT will roll WKU. Too early in the year for Petrino to have made a significant impact for them to compete against UT. The vols simply have better players across the board. You forget that the vol defense was ludicrous against everyone last year. I expect the D will be much improved, but I guess that remains to be seen. Now, that being said, WKU will put up a good fight against anyone they face the latter half of the season, but I'm glad to say we drew them early on before Petrino gets them rolling. It's an exciting time for both programs, really.

Go Vols
Go Tops

But UT wins by at least 24. I'd expect WKU to take the sun belt next year and then hopefully leave for a better conference.

This game will be within 10 points til the 4th. Petrino is one of the best coaches in the country! No way we just blow that team out of the building. Even Bama didn't blow them out without a fight. Things just got real.
