look, i'm not saying it's right or it happens all the time. and i'm not going to go into an advertising plan for an individual company. it's just the nature of the beast.

NASCAR is in the process of new era of drivers. it started with Jeff Gordon and it continuing. Young is in. it's all cyclical.

I see your point. I'm not saying go out and hire a 40 yr old guy like Todd Bodine, but there is a combination of under 30yr old marketable guys and talent out there. They just not all running Karts and mini sprints.

they do. they just don't get the top rides. David Gilliand, David Ruetiman, and Travis Kvapil are a few names that come to mind.

they should just pack it in

Agreed.....next up the Woods Brothers...they have slipped to nothing more than buzzards picking over Roush scraps.

If anything I wish Kyle would move to the booth. He gives a perspective that has been missing since Neil Bonnet.

As far as Richard.... give him a roll like Bob Watson has in baseball. Let him decide the punishments of the rule breakers. Who is gonna argue with The King....

there's been two things that did Petty Racing in.

1. he just now built himself a a new shop. just now. i don't know if anybody had ever seen the old Petty show, but it was a dump. don't get me wrong it's probably an incredibly historic shop but by today's standards it sucked. i'm not sure why it took a bajillionaire like Petty so long to build himself a state of the art shop.

2. the most important reason. Adam Petty was going to be a superstar. it's shame too because NASCAR has no business being at that dump snoozefest race track in NH anyway. when Adam was killed, so too was the Petty name. that's not to say that they can't get back to the top, but they took a major blow when they lost Adam. it still upsets me sometimes to think about it.

Well said!
I look at my little Hot Wheels box set of the 43,44,and
Adam's 45 car I have on my shelf almost every day.

I now make it a point to keep my grocery cart to the far left of the isle in case Loren is there. I don't want to be running in the middle and have him put me in the wall.
