Pew Research political ideology quiz

I just love the label “ambivalent right” I mean it telegraphs just how crappy this poll is. You’re not just a little right leaning you’re right leaning but confused. Hilarious and a tell of the stupidity and bias of the pollsters

Oh no, everybody was right about me...I am a filthy leftist. Quiz was interesting but heavy on opinions of society and light on what you actually want the government to do about it. It puts basically every question in a D vs. R prism and the underlying assumption is whichever side you are on, you want the government to act on your opinion. I think the funniest question was about hearing a foreign language and if that triggers you.

Hard to believe ambivalent right is only 12% of the populus based on this small sample size in this thread...

You're taking offense to this when you are the one who is confused. Ambivalent doesn't mean confused. It just means mixed sentiment...like you want fiscal responsibility without the culture war. That's not a confused position. That's an ambivalent position about the right.

^this defines it exactly as I did. mixed feelings = "mixed sentiment"

I do not see any synonyms or reference to the word/idea "confused." Confusion means lack of understanding.
I’m standing pat. It’s a 💩 poll had it been neutral the obvious labels would have been mixed left and mixed right. Instead the mixed left are outsiders while the mixed right are ambivalent. The choice of synonyms matters here in the obvious tell of the pollster’s bias.

Oh and contradictory was underlined for a reason. It is the stronger synonym clearly.

This is what I got also, while choosing conservative responses for all the fiscal questions and liberal responses for most of the social questions, and rating both democrats and Republicans at 0/100.

The language question was quite humorous. That one was probably a tipping point for the Faith and Flagers.

very crap questions. no middle ground for most of the questions.

Do you think businesses make too much money, or are they mostly fair? how about they profit whatever they want but they can still be morally/ethically bad.

Do you think America should be open to people from all nations? open to legal immigration, absolutely. the two implied options, fully open or fully shut, are equally as bad.

is greater acceptance of trans good or bad? at least they give a neutral option to this one, but it entirely depends on what they mean by acceptance.

The surprising thing for me is this crap is a Pew research product. Pew is left they are academics. But they’re usually objective or try to be in the vast majority of their research products. This piece is just total 💩. Those category labels… Lordy Lordy 😂
