Peyton and Justin

All the youngness want a younger QB. They want their guy. Worley is the man. He does everything right and will quiet the youngness this season. We can trust Worley. He's a football guy and going to be good in the NFL.

I didn't know this was a thing; thank you for showing me the light. I'm now in full agreement for all of the things.

I'm kinda torn on this one...I prefer that Dobbs wins out so that we have a returning starter next year at the all important position... but it's difficult to not root for a patient ,hardworking VFL like Worley. If he can make all the throws and this offense flourishes?...maybe it's win win.

6'4, 225. He's not a small guy.

In other news, I was unaware that Peyton's neck had gone Giraffe Mode. Seriously, look at that sucker compared to Justin's.
The "Giraffe Mode" is the name of the neck surgery that Peyton had. They put in 3 extra vertebrae to elongate his neck so he could see over defensive linemen.

I think Worley and Dobbs will look light years better than last year...
another year in the system to get more comfortable, Marquez North is now older
and on his 2nd year in the system,Josh Malone and VP will add more weapons...
this is why I think the offense will be much improved...The OL and how quickly they can gel is where my worrying lies.

Depending on how fast the A-State and Chattanooga games get ugly we could see Dobbs taking a significant amount of semi-garbage time snaps, perhaps even playing most of the 2nd halves. I'm with you that it'd be nice to have a returning starter, but on the other hand I think Worley knows this is his last chance to leave it all out there on the field and finish what he started. This is his final year of college football (and maybe football period) and he has nothing to lose. If the reports out of the Manning camp are true and his work with some of the QB guru types during the offseason has paid off, I'm expecting a Crompton-type senior season from him.

This is what kills me about our fan base now, instead of rooting Worley on coming in 3rd in a competition, and training on the west coast with a QB coach, and meeting with Peyton y'all bash him instead. Butch has talked about training the team on how a winner thinks again, I think maybe we should be trained on how a winning fan base thinks again. I mean some of our players get shot down before they ever get a chance, and others get hyped up before they ever hit the field. Sheesh.

Well said, MDVols. I thought my ignore list was all full, but for one of the posters before you, I managed to find one more spot. :zeitung_lesen:

Can you guys move on from the Kiffen and Dooley era? CDD did his best, lost his entire Defensive coaching staff and inherited a mess from Lame Kiffen. I believe his biggest fault was inexperience. I only realized AFTER CBJ's arrival that CDD had not established the best relationships in the state. He still recuited well. As for Worley.......how many OCs did he go through? Anway, do you guys always live in the past or is you life so boring that you feel these topics need to be brought up every week........move on, new team, new coaches.....let CDD's legacy die and let's build a more successful one with bUTch Jones...........Go Vols!!

if dobbs plays we are screwed

Worley is the starter by default this season, just like he was at the start of last season. But, both Worley and Dobbs will play this season, just like last season.

The big difference from this year to last will be that there are better and more talented players on the offense than last year, and Both Worley and Dobbs have more experience than last year.

All in all fans should expect more production from the QB position at UT this season.
