Peyton and The Big Ones

Choked,like he usually does

Tee did just fine with Fulmer and Chavis and yes one player can influence a game for the better or worse

See 1999. Choked against Arkansas or we would have been back in the BCS game. Tee was not that good. From Kelly to Clausen, Tee was the worst during that span.

For years the ONLY knock on Peyton was "he can't win the big ones". He finally dispelled that notion by winning a Super Bowl. Or did he? Years ago I saw a special-may have been on NFL Network-before he won the Super Bowl and they harped on the fact he hadn't one a Super Bowl AND he couldn't beat Spurrier and the Gators. You guys think there's anything to it and his only SB was a fluke?

First off, it's never a fluke when you win the SB. You have a complete team around you and you played at the top of your game for an entire season + playoffs. It's incredibly hard to do that. To call that a fluke is insulting to every team that's won a SB.

Second, the guy has played in three SBs and won one. Seems to me like he got over the hump.

Thirdly, he's got a plethora of records for his position at the highest level and will go down as possibly the best ever to play at his position. Doesn't sound like a slouch to me.

It's ridiculous to sit here and say he has underperformed in his pro career. The guy has reached the heights that every guy in the NFL hopes to achieve. Let's leave it at that.

How many SB's does Bradshaw, Montana, Brady etc have?

I'm sure Peyton never threw any int's against the gators that led to touchdowns. Clearly all the defenses fault.

He's won a SB. What more do you want? So now you bash the guy because he hasn't won multiple SB's? Do you know how incredibly hard it is to just get to the SB, let alone win it? There are thousands of guys who have come and gone in the NFL and never got a sniff. Just be happy for the guy.
This argument became moot as soon as the clock hit zero in SB XLI.
