I guessing most teachers have doctorates. Wonder if he's adjunct teaching elective primarily online with zoom. Just wondering I don't think you walk in automatically being a professor, not at most credible schools anyways. I'm glad he's doing it.

Interesting choice to teach in TN while his kids are in school in CO. He's going to have a fortune in frequent flyer miles if he and Eli are still doing the Manningcast from their basements and he still tries to help coach his boy's football team.

Of course he could Manningcast from anywhere but I wonder if the family is thinking of leaving CO?

FYI - in case you didn't know, the NCAA allows 10 on-field coaches (1 HC and 9 Assistants), 4 graduate assistants, up to 5 strength and conditioning positions, and an UNLIMITED number of analysts.

The caveat being is that ONLY the 10 coaches, 4 GAs, and S&C people can directly coach and interact with the players on the field. However, the analysts can contribute a portion of their time to players off the field in the form of instruction but it can not exceed certain limits set forth by the NCAA in terms of practice time. Analysts can also provide an unlimited amount of resourcing to the coaching staff.

Peyton taking a position as a professor for the Fall term is intriguing in regard to being considered an 'analyst'.

Are we really paying Peyton Manning money from the university(well, I guess all money spent by the college, even athletically, is from the university, but this meaning not from the AD) to be a "professor"(what qualification or experience does he have to be a professor?) just to benefit the football program(cause I don't see what else this benefits)?

Like maybe he actually really wants to teach(though you'd hope he'd go get experience or further education before taking a professor role...) but I kinda doubt it.

Posted above, he will be teaching, whatever it is that he is teaching, free of charge

And it says he will be teaching as an expert alongside faculty. He could do that virtually at times or entirely. Sounds like he also will be “teaching” but not responsible as the primary teacher of any class (meaning he might not even need to develop curriculum or lesson plans). Pretty cool way to be able to give back to show up to some classes and tell stories throughout the year.

What exactly is he teaching again? Teaching people how to teach or? Sidenote: eyeroll at the media guy who thinks he's funny...
"Manning, 47, will partner with the CCI faculty and teach a variety of topics that align with the college's curriculum, including sports reporting, video production and performance, leadership and communication and public speaking. Manning plans to teach his fall classes in person."

Although Peyton likely won’t be the instructor of record for these classes, he may actually qualify to do so as a practicing academic. Typically, you can qualify to teach a certain topic if you have enough credit hours (often graduate), and are practicing in the field.
